If he plays good footy nobody will give a rats what he does off field.

That depends on two things; how good his footy is, and what exactly he does off-field...

If he plays great footy he can have morning coffees with Mick Gatto and arvos with Craig Thompson for all I care.

Having watched that interview, Vince is now my favourite player.

Ironically, Sylvia was before he decided to go to the purple Anchorheads.

My favourite was TJ before that.

There is a theme here. Clearly I am a loser.

Not really, you just don't like vanilla.

Nothing wrong with that image. Good looking bloke, good looking girls. Not a red blooded poster on here who doesnt have a little envy! Importantly, if he plays better than Sylvia has, we will be in front. In the end, that's what we'll judge him by.

I am worried about the cataracts on Bernie's eyes. I mean how is he going to see the ball? And hat is probably why he is groping around for support.

He's definitely a lad and a likeable one at that. Makes for a refreshing change.

It matters most what he does on the field, but you can tell he's determined and raring to go.

Not sure if it's been posted already and too lazy to check but...

It's all off-field stuff and fairly trivial but could be somewhat interesting because it's the guy we recruited with the pick we got for Sylvia.

Is he the blonde or the darker one??

I like Bernie, always have, but find it amusing that Sylvia goes out and is called unprofessional and a host of other names, while Bernie goes out and is a just a likeable lad.

Ultimately, like Sylvia, he has failed to live up to his potential. Although I can see he has been a better player than Col and had one stellar year.

Moon I think this comment explains way you have rejected BBO sister's advances.

When you finish playing in that closet, BBO would like to have a word or two with you.

Seriously?? BBO copped 2 weeks for boring everyone with his average jokes. Don't do the same.

It's because our opinions of him aren't (yet) being slanted by years of frustration about his on-field performance.

True Nasher

But I find it very hard to believe he will not be better than the Mids we have used the last two years.

I have high hopes for him.

Sylvia was pick 3

Vince 32

Perceptions are shaped by this.

Vince has been more consistent, has better stats and has stood up when it counted in big games. Reputations are shaped by this.

Spotted by Mrs Robbie in Church Street Brighton the other day so I guess he's moved in to the area.

Speaking of which, I saw a Brighton Grammar Kid today and he would have to be around 7 foot tall, he was huge, he towered over me and I'm 6'2", wonder if he can play football?

Watts, Hunt, Salem and Dawes all hailed from BGS as did the No. 2 draft pick in Josh Kelly so I guess Robert Shaw is teaching a few of them something. I am sure that the boys will tell Taylor if there is somebody he should pick up in next year's draft.

Regarding Vince, I enjoyed watching his interview and I am confident that him and Cross will play a big part in a massively improved midfield for us in 2014.

The boys in year 4 at Brighton have been told to bring their Melbourne Jumpers and Scarves to school next Tuesday and be prepared for a surprise; I guess the boys mentioned might make a visit.

Moved on with Dawesy and his fiance. Which is a bit of a culture upgrade on living with Tex and his mullet. I presume Dawes who hails from the Hampton area will be living in the area somewhere nearby.

An interesting question is whether Vince's extracurricular activities impact his footy ability. And my initial response would be not much at all and the positive of them would be that he's mentally fresh wish helps dealing with bad losses. But all that said minimizing them especially if he's settled would be a good idea. In that way living with Dawes and the future Mrs Dawes might be good for him.

Somehow I think he might be a hit with the ladies, our Bernie.
