Chris Mayne for Norm Smith, David Mundy and Aaron Sandilands close runners-up. Wouldn't mind seeing Crowley win it, deserves some kudos for the amazing work he does week in, week out.

My dad thinks hawthorn, on the basis they have more too loose. They will be seeking redemption for last year they cant loose it twice in a row, they are better prepared this year, won games early in the season so are fresher than last year. Whereas freo will have a mindset, "hey we got to our first granny!' and there will be a thought that that is good enough.

I think freo will win, they want to prove to the afl community they should be there and are a serious team to be reconed with, and after watching their win against geelong at geelong in the first final..... geelong a seasoned finals team at home, it was the win that made me sure freo were the team to win the big one this year.

I think Sandilands influence in the ruck will get them over the line, have $20 on him to win the norm smith and be the difference that see's the dockers win their first flag.

So if you screw around with my WA Football team,I will always want Vengeance!

Methcoast did and will again with their WAFL Host Club arrangements, so I am no longer a supporter and have the same issues with regards to the Shockers. These arrogant Clubs cost my WAFL team at least one Grand Final win. Therefore I can only wish them both bad luck and misfortune. It will be a cold day in Hell before I would support either of them again.

My WA Team which I have supported since I was three or four (way before the AFL started) wears blue and red and sings "Its a Grand Old Flag" and are the 2013 WAFL Premiers.

So you can all understand why IMO there is only one AFL team worth supporting? So my heart beats true for the Dees in the AFL. Therefore any other AFL team is at best only second rate to me anyway.

There has been a very predictable romantic opinion swell for the Dockers coming from the newbie/underdog thing, but that won't make them any more likely to win.

Hawks comfortably after a tight-ish first half. Comfortably the best team in the competition for mine. Whilst Lyon is clearly a great coach, still think Clarkson is better and one of the greatest coaches of recent history. Hawks running patterns around stoppages and off half back will be too good and break the pressure the Dockers apply.

Norm Smith will be Mitchell as he is pure class in big games and will dictate this match.

Having said that, and despite having a decent bet on the Hawks, I hate them more than almost anything else in the world and if they drop this game I will not stop laughing for the next week.

It is hard not to come away from a game like that with over-confidence that The Cup is already theirs

Hawthorn did not play well and yet got the job done - doubtful they will kick as poorly or struggle as much again methinks and their gritty win last week will leave them under no illusions about what is required

I have lived long enough to see a lot of teams that thought victory would be theirs fall down at the last hurdle

If Ross Lyon was not Freo's coach I would agree. Lyon even stated that the Swans were sitting ducks last weekend so I'm sure he's got the message across to the players that this game is going to vastly different and much, much harder.

Hawks by 18 points - Freo won't be able to lock them down all day and they'll have the momentum for some period(s). They'll need to kick goals though - which I think they will - if they continue to miss from set shots like they have been then they'll lose.

I hope Freo win though - Kennett, Dermott, Dipper, Buckenara, Newbold etc - they're easy to hate.

Lyon is more hate-able than all those combined. Hope the Hawks smash them.

Very over rated, so many teams win in their first go at it. Geelong 2007, Hawthorn 2008, Sydney 2012 (very few left from 2005) all with coached by first up GF coaches as well.

An easy win last week?? The margin was comfortable, yes...but that was one of the hardest fought wins I can recall seeing in many many years. That was absolutely frenetic attack on player and ball and if I was to think of a comparison, it was like a school of sharks in a feeding frenzy. I want Freo to win, but I get the feeling that last week may have taken more out of them than we think.

I have sympathy with you there, Steve. The way Freo players have carried on over the last 10 or so years is bizarre. They are clearly the kings of over-celebration - goals in lost matches and wins against rubbish side, you'd think they had won 10 flags in a row.

But I lived in WA when there was only the Eagles, and they were just as bad. Probably still are, with Nik Nat on the front of the West when he gets a pimple, buys milk or pats a dog.

Freo have won no flags, the Hawks 9 in my lifetime. Go Freo.
