Agree with the Howe anaysis. Where does his future lie? What is his position? We dont really need any more tall forwards, but he is not a midfielder. I see an issue with him getting a place in the side in the future.

I used to really rate Jetta and he was good today, but he has had his chance...

Toumpas ... Little to inspire!!

At the end of a long first year when he's bodies not quite up to AFL standard, he's played in the worst midfield of the modern era, had some very decent games including against Geelong in Geelong and Adelaide in Adelaide (2 venues where Melbourne players rarely get near the ball) and he's been exceptional when sent back to Casey. But yeah to sum it up ....little to inspire.

Howe needs to model himself on Burton from Adelaide. He started off the same, but worked himself into a quality mid who was very dangerous when he pushed forward. That's exactly what we need Howe to be.

Toumpas is tracking really well. Mid season, I had some concerns but he is finding his feet and learning his craft.

Yes fingers crossed with a full pre-season he should come on next year. Today I watched him at times and he did some good things and some poor things but generally he looked stuffed after half time. I personally reckon he needs more fitness and should have played the final at Casey but I don't want to start that argument up again!!

Howe is a seriously lazy footballer who makes dumb decisions with the ball. I would look to trade to fix our midfield issues but it wont happen.

I actually think he generally uses the ball very well, especially in open play as opposed to his set shots.

Not going to argue with the lazy bit. For someone who is apparently one of the fitter players at the club, he should be getting more of it. If he could consistently get his 20 touches and a goal, which he does do in patches, he would be a serious player.

Not sure why we are sending Flash on his way. And from some discussions last week it seems it wasn't necessarily his decision.

I would have offered him another year myself. He has played his best football we know that but he can still hit a target, tackle and intercept an opposition play and deliver to a team mate. He still seems to be the only player on our list with some fast twitch fibres in his muscles! I look at the second quarter today and the young doggies in the middle are moving at twice the speed of our blokes, it is quite astonishing how far off the mark our on ballers are. Individually they may have some abilities but as a unit they stink.

He wasn't lazy at the start of the year. But his second half has been abysmal in terms of chasing. He hurt himself chasing Tambling last week but if he was on the ball he would've chased him down earlier and not waited til he got a lead on him. It was a Sammy Blease chase.

Maybe he's been playing with injury, who knows. He's certainly not suited to playing deep forward.

Anyway review his stats from the first half of the year. He'd be top 5 or so B+F despite inconsistency. But since then he's barely touched it. The one player to go backwards under Craig I'd say.

It seems his second half of the year was much better. Particularly as the sub he was handy. But I'm not sure we need to carry a guy like that. Today was certainly the first game in a long time I was impressed with his hardness. It's still been much below par.

Lots of positives against a team full of midfield talent.

Love him as a bloke, but can not understand why people still glow about McKenzie.

We can not afford to carry a guy who does a stopping role without adding anything himself.

"Heart and soul"? Please. More accurate to say "Doesn't add anything".
