Watts Martin up to? Let's hope he hasn't been made an offer he can't refuse from GWS. (And who knows maybe Jack has an offer as well). If this is the scenario the advantages given to the expansion clubs thru draft picks and extra salary caps are becoming scandalous. Richmond is on the rise what else would Martin be chasing than $$$?

Both expansion clubs have gone past us and continue to be given massive advantages and people still don't believe we need extra help at the end of the season.

Nup, he's too big a risk, leaving a finals bound team for cash. Still young, trouble off the field, the sums don't add up.

Not for us.

Could Dusty be waiting to see where Mark Williams will be in 2014?

Too many stories circulating about him; good footballer but who's to say he will stay on the straight and narrow. Bartlett, earlier this year, doubted he'd still be on Richmond's list at the end of the year because of the trouble he was getting himself in to.

If Chocko has settled him down and he comes across to us with him as coach ok, but if not, no thanks.

The best young mid in the comp and some of you are hand-wring about behaviour?

Get him, get Garlett and any other kid who can win a break because this club is going down the gurgler without mids.

If we were to offer him 750k a year, and trade Watts and pick 2 for there first round pick.

so

Martin and pick 12 ish for our pick 2 and Jack Watts

would definitely be incentive?

I strongly dislike him as a person, but he is a damn fine footballer. This club needs people others hate, we need to become unlikeable, we need to develop a brand of tough, uncompromising footy, Martin will help that. For me, I'd be happy to offer him 750k, wouldn't think twice about it.

Big money offer via the PSD would be perfect.

Wouldn't GWS have pick 1 in PSD? I'm sure they'd snaffle him up in a heartbeat given the chance

if he goes anywhere it will GWS, he comes from Sydney and probably wants to go home.

Pretty sure he's from Country Victoria, Bendigo/Castlemaine way possibly

He'll re-sign with Richmond. This is just a dance.

Tango, Limbo or musical chairs? Until we stand up and step onto the dance floor we'll never know. Get in his ear Dees.

HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

    TRAINING: Wednesday 5th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
