hold the phone...Dank has just come out and said he has evidence that will clear the players. Farcical. Wallis has a photo of a vial of something legal and so teh whole case is in doubt according to the sun. im getting a headache.

A question to the AFL and Lets keep it simple..." do we or do we not accept performance enhancing drugs in AFL".

AFL.. "of course not.....but if its the whole team...and the press supports them then hmmm thats a tough one. I mean In theory we dont. But let me say this.... if we ever catch a solo player ( from a low club) doing that then lord help them!"

There is nothing new here. Dank has been saying this from the beginning but refuses to confront ASADA, or the AFL for that matter for cross examination. He says he wants his day in court but refuses to testify in all the cases up until now.

Personally, I much prefer the very thorough ASADA/WADA process than anything Dank says.

If you were in his shoes, wouldn't you continually plead innocence, particularly if he is not compelled to testify.

The AFL only cares about making more money.

It would appears the AFL should be fined for poor governance and lack of control over its staff.

Are these guys really that morally corrupt or just really stupid?

Yeah Wallis (zero credibility) says he has a picture with Thymomodulin written in crayon on the label. Yep ASADA won't pick up in that.

Its sad how stupid these people are.

I laughed so hard when I saw that blurry image complete with the home made label, cut unevenly..

Discretion not the better part of this decision

Wilson pretty well nails it with this piece. The AFL are simply moral bankrupts with no balls.

when WorkSafe finally get into the act I fervently hope they glance towards head office at some point.

The cheer squad is in full flight this morning.

Also loved the comment that the HUN is fighting for Your right ( the public ) to have the press included so we will know what goes on.

Umm don't you mean what the HUN thinks we should know!

Worksafe began an investigation in May 2014, 2 years after the drugs programme.

What a farce. No-one can tell me there isn't political interference in this. I have no faith in Worksafe. If it was my workforce my directors would be in jail. WTF are these idiots waiting for? Why haven't the non-compliant media jumped all over this??

Wait til more grainy photos emerge from a grassy knoll across the road from the drug clinic. I think I can make out the label on the vial .....It's.... wait.... yes its thhymo....modulin..

And the date on the vial.....it's......yes its 2012.

And the home made label off Stephen Dank's printer is stuck on with clag....and written in crayon..

HERALD SUN HEADLINE

ASADA CAN"T SEE THE WOOD FOR THE TREES. ESS ARE INNOCENT

Essendon releases some fresh evidence that it just remembered about.

Honestly...the whole debacle is a joke

There needs to be a Royal Commission into the governance of sport in this country.. Its farcical

Sport has been the hallowed turf of this Nation. So much pride and glory as Individuals and Teams often compete above their weight (sts) . It's woven into the national psyche. Its sacrosanct.

Those who run the large commercial competitions seem to think they are above the rest, that those silly pesky rules are not for them.

Those who effectively condone the untoward and nefarious amongst the leagues need to be themselves named and shamed.

Yes this does indeed rot from the head down but it stems from higher than a single club. You have to wonder about ideals and standards of an organisation when the first instinct upon learning of impropriety was not stand fast and co-opt further investigation but to go running to the transgressors to warn them !! That to me said it all as far as where the AFL stood on this.

They for this reason alone should have had NOTHING whatsoever to do with any investigations and/or deliverance of penalties.

A lot of change must eventuate from all of this.

So if I get booked for speeding and then can produce a photo of a speedo showing 55kph that means I'm innocent of speeding.

This is so ridiculous it beggars belief.

This Dank fool is staggeringly stupid, what amazes me is that the EFC brains trust could not see it for themselves.

If Dank truly could get the players off surely by now he would have done it. This is the most incompetent ruse I have ever seen.

The media mostly have been inept, worksafe apparently MIA and the sound of shuffling deck chairs is deafening.

If in trouble, fire your best shot first. I feel that EFC Dank and Hird have already done that. Now we have the smoke and mirrors pantomime.

Time to dish out some pain.

IMO Essendon must be removed from the AFL

2 year penalties not back dated for any player the is convicted of drug cheating.

Life bans for any coach or Club officials that was involved in the supplements program if its determed illegal substances had been purchased or used..

Players who have been issued with show cause notices and decided not to answer them, should be banned from playing and training until they have faced an AFL tribunal.

AFL tribunal should be independent of the AFL and NO ESSENDON FC supporter, Members or club officials should be allowed on the tribunal.

Removal of any awards that a banned player has received during the supplements program.

Removal of any past awards and a permanent ban on being inducted into the AFL hall of fame for any coach or officials that were involved in illegal supplements program.

An investigation is needed into the governance practices of the AFL.

AFL officials found to not have acted in the best interest of the code should have their employment contrast terminated.

Open hearing on Essendon players a must to reassure public

For two years, Australia’s athletes have watched — some in disbelief — how a possible two-year ban was being talked down to a long weekend.

Only an open hearing will reassure the nation and its athletes that its major football code is not above ASADA law.

Big difference: as far as I am aware cigarettes were not and probably still are not banned substances.

oxymoron

Something tells me smarter minds than theirs had decided the PED factor wasn't there. I'm just hazzarding a guess here, but my guess would be they wouldn't be banned for being PED's now either.

Just when you think the thing cant really get any sillier the clowns come up with 11th hour "get out of jail" evidence.

How dumb do they really think anyone is.

The pic : 194045-5be8b17a-6e2c-11e4-ae84-798920b22

The photo is a photo of........a photo..or magazine picture... It has creases like its been in someones pocket for crying out loud.

It shows what exactly. Could any vial thats contained anything , or nothing. The chain of custody ?? ( non existent )

But lucky for them I found the real evidence ...

Guaranteed absolutely fair dinkum..

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi
