MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION

hes got you OD.. remarkably theres a logic...begrudgingly in what he says. Such is the way of Melbourne, nothing is ever straight forward....in fact its seldom forward !!!

Dunn out, McKenzie in to tag and Grimes to the backline could very well be on the cards next week.

I like the idea but we are screaming out for mids who can get the ball. Taking Grimes out of the middle and replacing him with McKenzie won't help.

If Viney and Grimes can rack up 20 each this week hopefully we may go some way towards lowering the heat on our defence. I'd then be more inclined to bring in Struass next week.

Did you watch last week? Stats don't mean much but he kicked 2 of our 4 goals! 50% of our major scores!

I think give the Byrnes out a rest this week. Unless you call for Davey out as well? We already have Kent and Blease in the team in the same role as Byrnes so we are developing some and it's not like Tapscott or Taggert are knocking the door down in the VFL.

It really shows our lack of players tm

You are correct in saying we have bugger all replacements, five players there and one has a faint chance of being AFL standard.

Bloody sad when a washed up Geelong player kicks half our score

Is anyone tipping us this wk?

A couple of weeks ago I thought we had a good chance but when you look at the way the lions have played the last couple of weeks against good teams I don't think we have a pray.

Less than an eight goal loss is the best I can see.

Shite I hope we get closer than that o d.

I know the lions have been gong well but they have been inconsistent with form don't get me wrong I know we ain't killing it but I think it will be a 2-4 goal game.

Don't mind the selections at all. Infact Viney to start as a sub would be the right thing to do.

Loving how Craigy is not changing up the team like Neeldy was this with making 6 changes every week.

Kent or Blease sub. Viney will start.

I think we are a big chance in this game and the Lions know it! hoping Kent plays as sub, not sure he's up to full games yet, but viney may not have the match fitness yet

Baring injury or rest I can't see Jordie getting back in the side this year.

about time a coach realized he is next to useless at offence. Using Jordie is admitting defeat before the game even starts.

How does Byrnes get a game every week?

Why do we give a has been a game when we have numerous young guys we could be testing and giving experience?

If the guy made a meaningful contribution and helped the kids but he does bugger all.

He was one of our best players last week, I can understand people calling for him to be give the flick most of the time but not this week.

Put simply, if he hadn't played last week our score would have been two goals for four quarters. It was bad enough to get ourselves into the record book for a record low inside 50s [19] without us kicking our lowest score as well!

That says way more about our team that it does about Byrnes.

We truly are a basket case

last time we played them , we had enough of the pill but slaughtered it going through the middle

was hoping this time were better prepared to handle the corridor a bit better

The most amazing thing about our pre-season training in Darwin was how badly our marketing people managed the photo opportunities. Who was the genius who thought it would be a good idea to have a photo with players sitting in and on an army tank when the club was being investigated for alleged tanking?

Technically we were "tanking" then................... Just saying :)

I am

I do every week and have furious debate with fellow demon supporter who thinks tipping is about winning.

it does explain why he is near the top and I am near the bottom on the pubs ladder

I continue to tip the most advantageous results to get us near the top so far this strategy is not working

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
