David King on the Melbourne blueprint
FC Melbourne replied to Older demon's topic in Melbourne Demons
Having his nose splattered all over his face by Merritt may explain some of he drop off. -
Not sure about bail's ability to get the ball enough as a mid. Still see his best role gut running between the arcs, pushing up the ground defensively and running hard forward once we win the ball back. Thought his finishing improved in 2014. Would love him to become a 20-30 goal a year player.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JEFF GARLETT
FC Melbourne replied to Demon3's topic in Melbourne Demons
At worse a significant upgrade on Burns, cost nothing, fills a need identified by recruiting staff. Not sure what's not to like here. -
Stringer might want to work on his marking based on that GWS effort. What's the read on Hrovat? Is he out of the Trengove mould?
-
Melbourne considering shifting its base to MCG
FC Melbourne replied to M_9's topic in Melbourne Demons
Rebels have pretty much moved training base out to Optus. Own gym, change rooms and medical facilities. I count only 3 tenants at AAMI. -
His missus must be running out of schools to study at as well. Doctors orders to learn to be a doctor in a new environment?
-
Looking for a fresh start in a new environment for mental health issues and entertains going to the bombers. What a gee up. Hope he send this ar$e to GWS.

Potential Trades [Warning: Reading this thread may self-destruct]
FC Melbourne replied to Dr evil's topic in Melbourne Demons
Has any club ever traded their captain? Unprecedented. -
Article makes no mention of the new collar design and lacks a narrative about the club that grew out of a ground. What does this bloke do all year?
-
Front loaded, 5 million for the first year then 4.9 each following year.
-
Only one Casey player, disappointing. Tyrone Armitage Manly Warringah? Isn't that an NRL team?
-
Players not to target at the end of the year
FC Melbourne replied to Deeman's topic in Melbourne Demons
Darren Kowal, Luke Williams. -
Think part of MC's response may be due to the club not falling over itself to get him back. I'm sure previous regimes would have bent over backwards to accommodate his return on MC's terms. But we have smarter people in charge now,. Reckon roosy has spelt out in no uncertain terms if he comes back for us it will be under our terms. No more tail wagging the dog.

The club has done what's best for Mitch so far, admirable. The club must now do what's best for MFC. If he wants to go, we must play hard ball.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - SAM FROST
FC Melbourne replied to Gipsy Danger's topic in Melbourne Demons
https://twitter.com/white_adam/status/507429166749216768 White saying he will be a demon to replace chip. NFI on what basis. -
Think this could fit in with PJ's call for special assistance, not a priority pick. Might be smoothing the waters to allow Mitch back onto the list without to much fanfare / pressure.

Match Preview and Team Selection - Round 23
FC Melbourne replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Bit ahead of themselves the Roos. Not as if they have been playing 25 round seasons for past 3 years ala the cats. Would like the see us come out a bit angry, not hopeful. -
With AW at their feet.

Strap on the foil boys!

Welcome to the Melbourne Demons - Christian Petracca.
FC Melbourne replied to Coup Cooper's topic in Melbourne Demons
Might pull an Elway / Baltamore scenario. Would not blame the kid. -
Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>
FC Melbourne replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
Can smarter minds than mine tell me what hird and efc end game is here? If the judge has started no matter the outcome ASADA can start again, what's the point? -
Then the Riley decision tops it off.
-
Could be worse, could have Buckey at the helm...... Can't help but feel once we can hit the scoreboard when we get a run on things will improve dramatically. We had chances in the first but just could not convert. Cats really took advantage of the let off, some of their field kicking in the second was outrageous. Just toyed with us safe in the knowledge we could not hurt them on the scoreboard.

Post Match Discussion - Never in doubt
FC Melbourne replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Putting Kent's running goal in my top 3 in between the wiz at Waverley and TJ at subiaco.
