Jurrah to Port?

This annoys me, we help him, treat him and do what is best for him.

Let him join his family etc when he needs it.

Then he can walk straight to Port in the PSD for nothing, after everything we did.

Anyway he also looks like a thug in teal and black, much bettter in red and blue

Im annoyed as well, we backed him and left no stone unturned for him this year and he just walks out.

[censored].

This attitude annoys me, you and I cannot possibly comprehend the [censored] this bloke has gone through over past year or 2. He is an aboriginal elder amongst his people who are in a civil war. His family are living in Adelaide, a couple of thousand k's away from their home and unable to return. I am actually amazed that he is attempting a comeback and if he can get fit enough to play at the top level again good luck to him. It is not about reward for the Melbourne football club, and the what about me/us attitude, I wish him well and thanks for the all the too brief moments as a Demon

One I am not sure he is an "elder" or if that even exists what I believe is that he is basically a man of age in his tribe with which comes responsibilities of its own.

Anyway, i understand that he had things to deal with, but the way he walked out, was reported to not be playing football for a period to settle his life, and leaves us with nothing for our investment this is a business.

I am all for him getting the best for himself and family etc, but at least give us something back when you leave, a late pick etc, trade for Rodan or something.

Thats a good way to look at it and I fully understand what your saying. Let me ask you this though, couldnt he have stayed on our list lived in adelaide and requested a trade to Port? Im sure melbourne would have let him go and we would have received something in return.

Port would not have traded anything for him....He is being given a chance to train and there are no certaintees that they will pick him up......

I don't understand the logic of compensation

Scenario:

I have a job, go on a bad trot and move interstate back to family to sort myself out. Why should my previous employer, who admittedly did offer as much as they could to me, receive compensation?

How is a football club different to real life anymore? Just a job

If it could be proved he was lured to walk from Melbourne we might be eligible for compensation from Port?

Easier to prove that the Man on the Moon was a fake.......

I don't care about compensation, I just find the whole situation very sad.

Well the compo does not exist but I agree totally.

Would be the end for me if Jurrah puts on a match winning 5 goal performance against us in round 1.

Oh Princess really!!

Hahahahahahahaha do you have ANY understanding of football? If you're scenario applied then any player could just walk club to club. Geez you ever heard of the "trade period" mate. Far out.

If a player walked from the MFC and three months later was joining Port?

Or

If a player walked from the club to spend time with his distressed family prior to a court hearing for an alleged machette attack?

I imagine Jim would be compassionate and understanding but a little [censored], like many of us seem to be.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
