I really am amazed at the bs negativity aimed at our club today. We're seriously not that bad, yet apparently "watching our club is like being kicked in the guts repetedly." Nick off if you think that.

Maybe it is Peter Sellers... "I like to watch" (Being There)

For Geelong

"The Party".

I want to see Sellars get suspended for knocking out Jpod .Either way he wont be there next week at this rate .

The umpiring is a disgrace.

Enright clearly thows the ball in front of Ump 33 who ignores the one armed throw - moments later Sylvia taps the ball on and is penalised for throwing by Ump 33!

And that free to Podsiadley on half time. FCS when do we get a fair go!

And there was a soft one to Bartel.

Where's our cheap 25 metres out directly in front gift?

Losing is one thing - getting a fair go something else.

We got smashed early and were lucky not to be down by more. But the guys actually dug in a bit, mean the cats are beating us in most things but some efforts from Jones, Davey, and in particular Clark gave us some good opportunities which we made the most of.

Random thing, Malthouses special comments are some of the best I've heard. He is making some really good points about how the game is going.

What did that @@#@#@#$##@!# umpire see? That is one of the wrst decisions in the history of the game. Try telling me he isn't on the take!!!!!!

Not on the take - just home town shite by amateur umpiring in a professional competition

How can you dismiss the effort as "not playing well" Except for that stupidity from a person who is supposedly the best we can get to adjudicae, we would be 22 points down to a team that beat as by you know what!!!!! We have the breeze this qtr... I expect the margin to dissolve!!!

Fair enough to get upset over some of the decisions, but take off the blinkers please... that Sylvia "tap" as you put it was actually a scooping action... in other words, a throw!!

I have only seen brief glimpses. Two bloody ordinary frees for gift goals to the home side - Bartel v Jordie and far wise the Pods one on the siren, when the commentariat thought Clark delved the free. Morale sapping.

It's a great analogy. You get a reprieve and think "yay it's over", then again.

If you think we are not that bad you are kidding yourself. We are lucky Geelong can't convert. Minus 60 in uncontested possessions and it's only half time!

Just because we are not 100 points down doesn't mean it's happy days. Trying hard is not good enough, it's a bloody given.

I appreciate that we are not lying down and giving up, but our skills and decision making is just woeful. I doubt Mark Neeld is in there praising them.

He must have felt like satnding in front of a firing line last year.

I disagree that we're playing ok. I feel like we're dropping our heads and you can't do that with Geelong or you lose by 100 points. We've dropped off last week's good effort. Jones and Clark obviously excepted. Jamar wins the ruck and we never clear it. Depressing.

Some of those possessions have been cheap, but I agree with what you're saying - you can't zone against the Cats, it's man-on-man.

We look like we are playing not to cop a pounding, rather than with any actual belief we can win like last week.

Also, I have thought this for a number of years, but no team gets away with more incorrect disposals than the Cats. They are constantly throwing and dropping the ball without being whistled.

Nor would I be praising them. I certainly wouldn't be slashing my wrists and listening to Death Metal just yet though.

Loving the half time footage of Jack Viney having a go at Wojcinski... he won't take a backward step.

Also, looks almost like Clark has become a "de facto" captain... he was standing there hand-slapping his team mates as they exited the rooms and giving each player words of encouragement.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
