Karma hits GWS

if it is contagious then they are going to have to do some serious quarantining of that certain bloke. At least him being in blacktown is already enough quarantining for the other clubs to feel safe

A little tweety bird has indicated that a certain unnameable has had a reoccurence of a problem with a certain knee. Our thoughts are with him

I usually don't like to wish injury on players, especially young players. That being said, anything that makes GWS worse is fine by me.

They won't need any help. Their best is going to be putrid.

As far as the injury goes, I don't believe in karma, but a few more incidents like this may change my mind!

"The Giants have confirmed Patton will travel to Stockholm in January for treatment on his left knee."

I am sure that someone can work in a Sheedy induced Stockholm Syndrome pun?

Well I guess that it is just about as far as one can possibly get from Blactown -- does that say anything?

Is that why you used a comma?

We really shouldn't be wishing ill on young players who have been drafted to play in that godforsaken hole. They already have to suffer the indignity of being part of a shonky outfit and having a dipstick as a coach.

And who knows, someone like Patton might want to come back home when his two year stint at Bleaktown runs out.

He might even end up at a decent club and wear the red and blue.

With all the freebies that lot are getting they'd probably shrug their shoulders if he gave up and went off to become a Hare Krishna.

actually it's not the most unrealistic scenario in the world as william hopoate from manly in the nrl shunned a huge contract extension to go travel for two years as part of his mormon missionary service!!

Think the OP doesn't understand the notion of karma.. I mean what did poor little Johnny do to deserve this?

Karma would be stealing a young hopeful off a team by offering way more than could ever be countered and then finding out he is only a second year player who is unproven and has a degenerating knee.. oh wait..

I honestly very very rarely wish injury on any player, but the Dive Bomber ripping his hamstring whilst taking a dive was karma.

But should a certain lying mercenary whose name starts with $, with a fat dad, have ongoing knee problems I wouldn't shed a tear.

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs West Coast

It’s game day and the Demons return to Melbourne to play the Eagles at the MCG for the first time in over a decade. A win keeps the Dees finals hopes alive whereas a loss will almost certainly slam the finals window shut.

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

It's Game Day and the Dees are deep in the heart of enemy territory as they take on the Lions in Brisbane under the Friday Night Lights at the Gabba. Will the Demon finally be awakened and the season get back on track or will they meekly be sacrificed like lambs to the slaughter?
