Twitter confirmed that Neeld advised that he would be delisted at the first list lodgement.

Sad news, possible that we pick him up again as a rookie?

It's is sad yes but unfortunatley the hard decision had to be made and probably due to matters out of Aussies control there really was only one decision to be made. Good luck Aussie hope life looks after you from here on in.

does anyone think this will have a little impact on jurrah having one of his best mates gone?

just wondering what everyone thinks so don't all jump on me haha !

Very valid question Armstrong, and one I have raised in the past. I have no doubt Jurrah goes to a different level when Aussie is playing along side of him.

While LJ has played a number of games without Aussie, and played well in some of those games, if Aussie were to return "home", I hope the support network around the club will ensure LJ remains focused.

Agree with what you say.

I will miss the excitement these two bring playing together

If it was a go home factor I can understand but if it wasn't I believe he should of had a year to prove himself.

even though I expected this i am upset he is gone

Dees delist Austin Wonaeamirri

It's definitely sad. It's how list management goes. But in saying that, I can't say I'm happy with the fact that Spencer, Dunn, Bate and Newton will all be on our list (whether it be senior or rookie), but we have no place for Wonaeamirri. If I had to pick one of those five to be on our list, it would be Austin.

How many games have LJ and Wonna played in the same side if it is much more than 5 I would be suprised.Do agree it could impact him around the club though but that is not a reason to keep someone about.

Its a shame when injury and application (regardless of reason) and not lack of talent sees a player delisted. This further highlights our need to draft a quality crumber. Without knowing the reason would hope he gets another chance if that is what he is looking for.

Unfortunately, for whatever multitudinous reasons, Wona was not able to fully commit to the extreme rigors of AFL footy.......simlpe as that really.

I am glad that someone has finally come out and stated that anything less than full commitment just won't go.........are you listening Mr Sylvia?

But as titan says.....I would certainly want him on the list ahead of at least some of those he has listed.

BRFE, I commented on the fact that LJ has played many games without Aussie. But in the limited games they have played together, LJ seems to do things that even for him are freakish. Just watch the Sydeny and Hawthorn games from 2010. I think even Bruce commented in his call that they are like a pair of naughty school kids, that they just do what they want to do.

I'd love to see Wonna stay and play but how can the club give him a contract if they don't know whether he'll still want to be there in a couple of months time. Rookie him see what he wants to do and if he sticks around elevate him.

Agreed. You can't wait forever for a player to prove he wants it, tough circumstances or not.

It's sad that Wonna is going. But we've got to stop this, being scared that if one player leaves, an avalanche will occur. The tail doesn't wag the dog, or if it did we would be the saints.

IF player X has to leave because player 'Y', has been delisted, then we don't need that sort of commitment at the Dees.

How on earth can Newton be retained ?

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
