  1. With all our own dramas, this event has gone unrecognised. changes-that-helped-greater-western-sydney-giants-star-jesse-hogan-finally-realise-his-potential Rapt for Jesse after a checkered career to date. Great reward for his hard work. Still one of my favourite players. He (and captain Toby) are the only reasons the finals hold any interest. Hope Jesse adds a 🥇 to the Coleman and holds up 🏆

  2. Hope Seven didn't sign him up to a long term contract.

  3. Schwartz would be one of the last people I'd want as a Board Member. While he is passionate, outside of his playing career he hasn't worked in a footy club and has no general management, board or technical expertise. As a passionate public figure he will overreact when things aren't going well creating instability without knowing how to solve problems.

  7. In my opinion it’s time for both of these to go. Pert offers nothing and just spins his words every time he talks. Clean the slate! The fish rots at the head!

  9. In my view Pert needs to go, i have zero trust in anything he says He said " we have the best culture in 40 years" and we missed the finals and had several major off field issues He said "He's not having conversations were Petracca about breaking his contract or being traded" Maybe you're not, but he was certainly aware that was his intention in my view. if you want the fans trust, admit there are significant issues to work through, commit to a full audit of every area of the club, get things right and give us a fighting chance of being relevant in 2025. Fans aren't [censored], the majority on here saw right through the Petracca situation the moment the reports dropped, and i don't think clubs as a general rule give this point enough consideration, we're not toddlers and can handle the news that things need to improve, you're not protecting anyone coz the players clearly know.

  10. pert and richo's media statements are looking increasingly ridiculous and poor in the wake of the cultural issues within the football dept. and the lack of progress for a home base, not to mention the loss of sponsors and inability to replace them (albeit in extremely fraught economic times) roffey was handed the presidential mantle on the proviso that she was this great dealer with governments, and so far we've got minimal updates on what is going on with the home base there's an irony that in march, 2024, we had a loud president criticising quiet fans; by august, 2024, we have loud fans criticising a quiet president if trac does, indeed, force a trade then the board, leaders of the club, and football dept should be under incredible pressure to retain their roles

  12. I've said it before - Tm Lamb better have a good trade period because his last couple have been a disaster - keeps taking the list backward ; - got cheap on Jacko - offered $650k first up - should have gone straight to $1m and we'd have another flag in '23. - let Grundy, Bedford, Jordan and Hunt leave for peanuts - and brought in rejects Billings, Schake, Hunter - and paid overs for McAdam - gave Clarry a 7 year deal when he had massive off-field issues.... Thank god for Jason Taylor is all I can say.... keeps picking the eyes out of top picks - give him pick 5 in draft as I don't trust Lamb to effectively trade it.

  13. Pert's record speaks for itself...Culture at Dee's & Pie's when he is in charge hasn't exactly been fantastic! Roffey got handed the best Chairpersons gig in footy we were flying and since she took over its slowly fallen apart. Roffey has got great experience in Government department's and Universities which is probably why we are in this mess. The skill set has lead the way on all sorts of flag waving and feel good inclusiveness but no results where it maters whilst the joint falls apart. The board and particularly Roffey are far to close to Goodwin he should never have received he extension last year pre finals and should surely go now the footy department needs a complete reset

  21. Why did we go with Adrian Anderson exactly? Quite happy to throw all the dollars at the courts to needlessly fight Peter Lawrence, but not happy to hire a proper lawyer to defend Kozzy? Get rid of our admin. They're hopeless.

  22. Why oh why do we keep using him? What is wrong with our football club? Unforgivable to not argue the sliding in by Moore. This is like poo icing on the Tracca cake

  23. Really happy for Jesse. Still have a soft spot for him, just wish we could have lured him back to the MFC after he left Freo. Probably would have won the flag the past two years with him leading the forward line and Roo playing the second key forward role.

  25. Your dislike of Peter Lawrence is obvious. Aggrandisement ! Is that why he drove a bunch of our women players to Brisbane for a Final during the pandemic.? Is that why he’s given a small fortune to the Club? I urged you last week to read the Judgment in his case against the Club. those who have done so seem to have changed their mind. He’s actually achieved a great deal for the Club in forcing the Board to make seven sets of Rule changes . I gather that you and some other posters are concerned that in an earlier case he won the right to email club members ( who choose to receive Comms from MFC by email) with material in support of his candidature . No lawyer I know believes the Club should have contested that case . Stacks of similar organisations now recognise that such a result was inevitable . MFC should have offered to distribute his material , which likely would have solved the problem without litigation . I must say that reading the judgment, and then considering Roffey’s triumphalist statement , convince me that all is not well at Board level

  26. Yup. I recall people potting the Melksham trade for the 2nd rounder we gave up. After a season there were still some questions. Then in 2018 he then became one of our most important players. That was the year he led the competition in goal assists. x4 his output from the year before. 22 to 32 goals. He's also gone from "lazy and half hearted footballer' to a mature leader and an important player

  29. "Match review officer Michael Christian graded the incident as careless conduct, severe impact and high contact, drawing a three-game ban." - ESPN, Aug 26, 2024, 04:57 pm. "Match Review Officer Michael Christian reportedly threatened to quit his role over conflict with AFL bosses regarding Brayden Maynard’s charge for concussing Angus Brayshaw as part of a “dramatic” Friday." - FOX Footy, September 12th, 2023 10:40 am. One, the recieving player dropped the knee in a chase to the ball where shoulder contact and a well timed side bump is trained to be made. That player took the knock, got up, continued playing, and was pulled due to protocols. The other situation, the receiving player was standing up right and landed on with a flying elbow, knocked out cold which ultimately ended his career. Can you pick which one Christian is giving 3 weeks for and the one he threatened to quit over?

  32. Sam Lalor - is a Dusty Martin/Cam Rayner type. Likes physical style of play but also has the skills and decision making to support his top 5 status. Midfield - forward type. Harvey Langford - plays like the Bont. 190cms. Bigger midfielder. Contested ball runner. Can mark forward and hit the scoreboard. Long left foot. Can hit targets but not elite skills. Xavier Lindsay - plays like Josh Kelly. Midfielder/half back. Elite left foot kick. Slightly built but excellent step and evasive skills. Can play inside but likely outside running mid in AFL. Love to see him in red and blue next year.

  35. I'm starting to come around to the idea that an external review is required. Way too much noise around our club the last 12 months or so. Clear the air once and for all. I'm a big fan of stability but if the review determines the CEO is part of the problem, then make the change. I'm still very much undecided about Kate but the Caulfield option is the last chance saloon for her. If that falls over then she should fall on her sword. 10 years on the board is time enough to have firm plans in place around a new home base.

  40. Well, we have another development in trade circles. A source inside an AFL cheer squad claims the Tiger Army is heavily targeting a member of the DA and Demonland for training reports. It hasn't been a joyous year at Tigerland and Punt Rd isn't the easiest training ground to present a training report to footy fans from. They are looking for someone to bring upbeat reports and not necessarily football observations and they do need some much needed laughter after a very unlucky first year at the helm for Ooze. Initial reports had the Tiger Army targeting one @picket fence for his ability to negotiate tricky terrain around fences. The deal was almost sealed, but at the last minute the deal was shut down by the fan forum PUNT ROAD END as most of its members are susceptible to CAPS. Attention quickly turned to star giant head holder, banner maker and track specialist WCW. A record long-term deal has been offered to lure WCW over to the Tiger Army. Andy and the Demon Army have been contacted for comment. More to follow.

  41. Huge question. Firstly speak to Goody to get his thoughts. Listen. Then I’m saying, doesn’t matter who we draft in , the current crop needs to be better. I’m getting the players improving skills over the summer. Running and kicking. Running and kicking. Speed on the footy. Dees were rank 16th for disposal efficiency - ranked 3rd highest in turnovers. Work on contest and clearance too. Not trading pick 5. (Sorry no to any Dan Houston deal). Get picks 25 & 42 for ANB off the crows. Keep 25. Package 42.45,51 & future 4th pick to Suns for pick 20. Have 5, 20,25, 61 in draft ( Three high quality picks 5 Langford/Lalor, 20 Moraes/ Gross/ Hynes, 25 Dattoli/Oliver, and a JT special at 61. Maybe a “best in VFL” at pick 61 as a mature type player to bring in. Also then pickup Noah Yze CAT A father son & Ricky Mentha NGA CAT B in rookie draft ) . Of course the equations all change if the Petracca debacle ends in him leaving.
