The way the team got around Judd after his first goal was indicative of the great things about our team.19 points

Screw draft picks Culture and a winning mentality far more important Surely we have learnt this lesson the hard way by now18 points

Some personal highlights: Viney: Was incredible. Carried the midfield on his back in the absence of Oliver, Trac and Sparrow. His determination was next level. Langdon: Thought his first quarter was poor but he was excellent afterwards. Played a very 2021 like game Petty: Best game since his 6 goal haul last year. I'd still prefer him to play down back next year but he looked much more comfortable today. Turner: Easily the best game of his career. We definitely have something to work with there. Fritsch: Underrated game. Stats weren't huge but he was very team oriented today. His kicking inside the f50 was elite.18 points

Could we have something a little special on our hands with Disco Turner?15 points

Wow! Been out all day playing local footy, I turn my phone on after the game and fist pump in front of everyone. Congratulations Goody and to the squad. Thr amount of heat and stress this club has been under this week I thought it was going to be a tough day. Well lads and everyone involved with the footy club. Can't wait to put my feet up and watch the replay tonight 🍻15 points

Turner has been an absolute deadeye for goal, but his biggest issue has been positioning I feel. Seems he's getting the hang of it now!15 points

Tholstrup - his best game Very tough on Billings - 21 disposals going at 90% is a very good game.14 points

Hope you enjoyed that one, Christian and the “direction” of the club. The only non QLD team to win at HBS this year.14 points

AMW now looks too good for VFL level. Great development this year. Will be a permanent fixture next year14 points

Very good coaching today. Matty Rowell has had a very good year and was BOG last week with 10 coaches votes. Had a few touches today but little impact. I think it was mainly ANB who was on him. Shut down the engine room and control the game! Good to see some experimenting: Fritsch up field a bit, McVee in the middle, etc Talking of Fritsch absolutely loved his loping run, 4 bounces before dropping a pearler in Disco's arms who goaled. And did I note how much I loved Juddy's goal! Also, kudos to Goodwin for letting the players just play with freedom and attacking game. They loved it!! And so did we!!!13 points

Hard to be disappointed with that! Really pleased with Blake Howes' game today. 22 touches and 10 marks. Maybe a rising star nod this week.13 points

• Petracca, Oliver, May and Windsor out. *Miller back for GC to further strengthen a potent midfield. •South East Queensland’s hottest day forecasted in 4 months. * MFC’s public relations at its lowest ebb since Norm Smith and the MFC had a minor disagreement. *MFC’s first dead rubber since round 23 2019. Aside from the above, I’m pretty bullish about today.13 points

Stolen from a post on Twitter, but this a great pick up. “Trac spent months in Queensland then conveniently avoided this away trip when so many of the injured players travelled, and our twos were up here too. Today was a very ‘whole club’ vibe. None of this is reflecting very well on him. This is a direction, and he’s not in on it.”12 points

After all the negative stuff this last month a win like this gives you hope for the future no matter what happens now12 points

We are going to have some genuine competition for tall forward spots next year. JVR and Turner have to be locks for mine. I'd love Petty to play back, but where does TMac play? May and Lever are locks at the back. I'm so excited by Turner and have been most of this year. He's quick, he attacks contests in the air, and he's a good kick. He still fades in and out of games, but that's natural at his age and level of experience. Jack Viney, Max Gawn, Alex Neal-Bullen and Ed Langdon were incredible today. Possibly the best game Jack has played. Absolutely bossed it.11 points

Alex was massive in the midield the further the game went on. Fabulous that he got his wish to sing the song 🎶 🤞 there is a repeat next week!11 points

Are you joking? Initial response was an enthusiastic YEAH. Followed by a vague remark that read to me as “holy [censored]. My manager will be [censored] off my saying that in contract talks”. Sorry, I got that the wrong way around. He was asked "you're not going anywhere?" and replied Nah enthusiastically. Some people seem deermined to read the worst into everything.11 points

Ben Brown a credible performance but Matthew Jefferson virtually unsighted difficult to visualise a 2024 debut now. Roy George had a go with a little bit of X factor hidden under his bushel. AMW’s confidence has grown with senior experience this season. Endurance, speed, combative in the clinches and shows a penchant for breaking the lines. Another preseason set to take on the big league.11 points

Awful take. You don’t have to care about weak fans, but the club does. Galvanising the supporter base, and probably the players too, is far more important than moving up 1-2 draft pick spots. In a flat and even first round to boot.10 points

Selectors' decision to stick with Petty & Turner forward rather than bringing in Jefferson is starting to bear fruit. Starts to give us a glimpse of what next year could look like. Big Turner fan.10 points

True on Nibbler, but why can't Rivers, Turner, Tholstrup, Windsor etc. be the next to take over that mantle.10 points

And how good was the goal from my boy Juddy! Bettered only by his celebration!! Will need to find a pic of that celebration and make it my new avatar!10 points

If North beat the Dogs. Tigers beat the Hawks. WCE beat Carlton. North beat the Hawks Saints beat Carlton Lions beat Essendon All we need is a 100pt win against the pies..10 points

I'm amazed that anyone could infer that from the question he was asked (Going?) and his immediate reply (Nah!) followed by the 'sort this out at end of year' type remark. If that wasn't him realising that you have to keep balls in the air during contract talks I'm the proverbial monkey's uncle. Of course, pessimists will say it's a double bluff to fool fan boys like me....10 points

One of the most enjoyable games I've watched in the last 4 years. Nice even spread with Viney going nuclear. Fantastic performance, hopefully, this gets backed up next week.10 points

Goody Please next year, loosen the obsession with “Contest & Defence” just a little bit!! Half a turn… and let the Boys play with some dare. Scoring is just as important as defending…9 points

Self-reflecting on the game he played, the things he did, the space he made, the attack on the ball that he engineered, Disco has much to be proud of, building confidence and initial knowledge of just what a good forward he actually is proving to be. Well done, lad.9 points

Dwayne is cringe but his burnt toast analogy is spot on IMO. I reckon there’s a huge chance we can rise up the ladder again in 2025. One thing that hasn’t been mentioned enough is us pioneering giving ANB a game after a public trade request. I thought he was great, so I wonder if it will catch on? No Jefferson yet but Turner could kick 40+ next year. He can seriously play. JV as dominant as I can ever remember him being. Melksham should definitely play one more. The guy in the ARC should be fired on the spot and never work for the AFL again. Completely gutless and sadly predictable. When was the last time one of them went our way?9 points

Gawn spoke wonderfully yet again. Great captain and leader. To me today was a performance of united group, no fractures. Can’t say how I feel about Trac though. Can’t see him with the team in the rooms. Oliver is there, Spargs is there. Where are you Trac?9 points

Perhaps the problem isn’t what he’s saying, but the fact that our supporters are so obsessed with constantly [censored] on our club, just like the media.9 points
