EF: Freo vs Bulldogs @ Optus EF: Lions vs Tigers @ Gabba QF: Geelong vs Pies @ MCG QF Dees vs Swans @ MCG The road to back-to-back for us is: Win the QF and go straight to a PF where we will play one of: Geelong, Collingwood, Freo, Bulldogs at the G. Lose the QF and we play the winner of Lions/Tigers EF at the G. Win that we then face one of Geelong or Collingwood in a PF at the G. We can avoid whoever wins the Geelong vs Coll QF until the GF if we beat the Swans next week. And it looks like we don't leave the G. See you at the G folks. ps hope I have the sequence right. 😐34 points

I just don’t think there is anything worth worrying about here. We have controlled everything we can control: - positive environment - teammates and friends that clearly love and care for him - mentor to help him be the best he can be - fitness staff helping him get to elite fitness - a solid offer and likely more in the future - a successful team with a wide open premiership window Once you have controlled all that’s in your hands, all you can do is let it play out. If he still wants to leave we are clearly already working in plan b. So be it.12 points

First off a big shout out to Saints they got within 7 points of Swans and helped us hold 2nd spot. Now we all get the opportunity to cheer on our mighty Dee’s at the G. Can’t wait for this one.❤️💙👍👌10 points

Wow didn't see this last night as I watch the Fox feed. Spine tingling stuff, almost teared up when they showed Jimmy and then again when they showed the Prelim/GF highlights. https://twitter.com/7AFL/status/1560491545908097024?s=20&t=W4glTXuTfUO9mTcXsjCsEw10 points

No matter what day or time we end up playing it is just so important that everyone that can, actually turn up and support our boys. They have fulfilled their end of the bargain, we must fulfil ours. We have over 60k members and plenty more supporters. No excuses. We must outnumber the opposition and be bloody loud and ensure it is a very hostile environment for opposition supporters and players alike.9 points

Scumbag football club. Hope he gets a job on 200k as an assistant next year and casually takes home 800k for the year doing half the work with 10% of the pressure.9 points

2 weeks to sort yourselves out - no excuses for this one, let's see us pack the G in red and blue and drown out the Sydney blow-ins. We completely outnumbered Geelong and Hawthorn in 2018 I want another see of red and blue and to hear "Mellll-bourne" reverberating around the stadium.8 points

Heard Leon Cameron praising ANB on radio yesterday without being prompted. His two way running is off the charts. He does the team things asked of him and you rarely notice this unless you are at the Match. Fans need to stop looking at stat sheets to determine how well a bloke is playing. Zero chance he's getting dropped unless injured.8 points

Jack, Kynan had a very rough first half with his ball use, particularly when on the end of some of Metro's offensive movement, burning four of five attacking forays with sloppy and or turnover entries, his in close work was uncharacteristically shaky as well. I think he probably would have been at about 20-25% disposal efficiency first half. Second half he was a lot more efficient and he was more involved as a handballing linkman/feeder which plays more to his strengths. He works his socks off, runs good patterns and knows how to find the footy, his issue like dad will be his ball use. The first half was the worst I've seen it. To play in the starting midfield for this team was a big tick for him, but his disposal first half probably made it a neutral outing for him in turns of his draft status. The more I'm watching him, I think clubs will see him as an Ed Langdon type and as I've suggested previously, a more offensively minded version of dad.8 points

Just under the radar I thought Rivers is starting to hit some form. Did a number of good things on the night and seemed to play freely. Has had some injury woes this year bit looked more like his 2021 self.8 points

So a reminder that with the Dogs replacing Carlton in the finals, we had 4 double-up games against the top 8. By comparison, the Dogs had 3, Geelong, Sydney, Collingwood, Fremantle and Brisbane all had 1, and Richmond had 0. We finished 2nd despite playing literally half our season against finalists (11 games against the 7 other finalists, 11 games against the bottom 10). Fair effort IMO. On the flipside, 5 of the 7 finalists (i.e. all bar Richmond and Brisbane) beat us this year. Which is funny given they'll be our semi final opponents should we lose to Sydney. But otherwise, our QF and, if we make it, our PF opponent and likely our GF opponent will have had a win over us.7 points

The last 3 weeks have been gut wrenching. Close loss to Pies, close win over Blues, and then all those other games over this current weekend affecting who we could play in finals and where. I am glad for a bye week in my own right! But I am very glad with how it has panned out. The Swans are no easy beats but our best covers them. I want Cats out in straight sets, Pies to lose Prelim. But I don't care who we play or where.7 points

Finals last year, unrealistic expectations this year. A strong club would have got around him, looked at the coaching team around him and made the necessary changes. But chasing Clarkson openly totally undermined any chance of that approach Bringing Hird back. Laughable7 points
