  1. Good morning all I can’t overstate my excitement for today. Get to be in the rooms before the game for the jumper presentation then it’s meeting up with all the friends and family for the big day. Lets hope we bring the heat today and get the win.

  2. Thank god for Frost. He has had a lot of detractors but he stood up and saved our bacon.

  3. So my takeaway is that Goodwin still has his mojo, our assistant coaches are on the ball, Misson knows exactly what he's doing, and Pert is at the top of his game.

  4. Beating Hawthorn is enjoyable. Beating Hawthorn with Scully in a Hawks jumper is beyond enjoyable!

  10. I had a dog like Frosty once, he was totally mad but every now and then he was my best friend and I loved him to bits

  11. Say what you want about Frosty, but he has heart - and he saved our bacon a few times in that final qtr. Really backed himself in. Harmes had a ripper! More of that, please! Welcome back, Hibbo! Much better! Great to see TMac getting involved, he had some nice moments, hopefully he uses that to work himself back into form. Love what I'm seeing from Lockhart! The kid has guts and backs himself, does interesting things. That diving mark was FANTASTIC. Salem, awesome, smart, balanced stuff out on the wing. Even ANB did some nice things here and there. A lot of second efforts, and that's not something we can say has happened much this year. In all, not always pretty, but there was some fire. Some ticker. Ferocity. Also, please no more OMac!

  12. Frost's effort in the last 30 seconds was amazing. Won the ball and got it out to a Dees player. Trac's follow up was almost as good

  13. Gawn was also huge today. He destroyed McEvoy

  15. To the old turds who told us not to boo Scully, go eat a bag. I’m a Melbourne supporter and I’ll bloody boo this piece of scum for as long as I like. If you want to watch footy in silence stay home and knit.

  16. Eat [censored] Hawthorn! Nothing better than beating those arrogant scumbags. We are back baby!

  17. That outside of thur not kick to Lochhart was sublime. Lochy's effort to waste 30 seconds, turn and kick to Melksham was the smartest piece of play all day. The umpires decision to call Melksham to play on, after he marked inside 50 and said he was going to have a shot was a disgrace. I think exploiting the 30 second rule goes against the spirit of the game, but it doesn't mean the umpires can choose to disregard it.

  19. I'm more annoyed about the clear 50m penalty that didn't get paid to TMac. Hard to swallow in the face of the others paid

  20. Totally agree! On the topic of small forwards, I like what Garlett was doing today. He doesn't have much to show for it, but he got himself into good positions, and generally looked dangerous.

  23. pfft, even after a desperate one-goal season-on-the-line win you want to snipe? For what it is worth (and I know Oscar had a few hairy moments as always), O. McDonald. 8 kicks, 6 marks (1 contested), 100% disposal efficiency, 0 clangers, and 10 one-percenters. He did his job. Nothing special or super, but he did his job. Story of the win really - a bunch of players who have been in seriously bad form were able to come out and at least do 'enough'. Best examples would be Nibbler, Hunt, Stertch and O.Mc himself. Meanwhile, a couple of players seemed to actually find some of their better form, led by Harmes and Hibberd obviously.

  24. Frosty clutch x 2 in that last 3 mins!! Lockhart what a game son. The heart of Harmes.... Salem the run, class and finish!

  25. The season is done but we really need a win to gain respect and to get the club back on track. I hope Gawn spews on Scully at some point and I hope we see Keilty in the circle covered in gaterade post game! go Dees

  26. O Mac divides DL again. When our better ball users in Lewis and Fritsch were turning the ball over time and time again in the first half , O Mac showed them up by hitting targets out of defence. I thought it was his best game of the season so far.

  27. Harmes had a great game but also took omera out of the game after quarter time. Great effort.

  28. The umps did everything to help Whoreform - even break the rules of the game, blatantly - all the way to the half-time break. And, it showed.

  30. Agreed. Jeffry didn’t have big stats, but he created a load of opportunities and was directly responsible for 4 of our goals from his pressure. People can continue to hate him on, and he’s not perfect (see shot at goal instead of passing to TMac), but he’s comfortably the best small forward on our list and one of the Vestberg in the league when he’s in form. His crumbing and pressure today were exactly what we’ve been missing up forward all year.

  32. Lockhart was very good. He laid some good tackles also

  33. An unnecessary comment but I don’t blame him. He’s a bit of a faux-tough guy and was never going to assist with taking us any further, so who really cares.

  35. Harmes plays best in a tagging role. Why we ever stopped giving him those run with roles I don’t know. First real assignment of the year and he has his best game of the year. Coincidence? I think not.

  36. There were a couple of clear 50s not paid to Melbourne in the last quarter. One to McDonald when a Hawks player booted the ball away. Another when a Hawks player returned the ball to the wrong Demon player after a Demon free. You'd care less, if it wasn't for the lame 50s paid against Harmes for maybe infringing the protected zone.

  37. Hawthorn lost to Harmes. Game was a mess, Harmes stood out like dogs balls. A win is a win but my heart cannot take 3 hours of rubbish and a nail biting finish. Some excellent efforts from Frost.

  38. He is the small forward we need at the moment. Tackles hard, is confident enough to go up the ground and has footy smarts. I like his hard edge

  39. Harmes performance today suggests that more players who bleed for the jumper is what we need. He plays like the supporter he has always been. Draft some more boyhood Demons please Goody!

  41. This is how my step-brother died. It triggered a heart attack. He wasn't properly supervised, but if it can lead to heart failure (he was healthy and athletic) then I don't know if that's an acceptable risk for our players. I also don't know what the potential for heart failure is with other forms of hypoxic training - there was a delay in rescuing my step-brother from the pool, such that cause of death was ultimately drowning. I don't mean to be a downer - and joke away as you would - but I don't think it's fair if our players are criticised in the future for not engaging in especially risky exercises. Lastly, my step-brother saved two other lives through organ donation. For those unaware, it requires more than a tick on your driver's license to ensure your intentions are followed in this respect.

  44. Get the context he said he loved Melbourne and his comment were not meant to be disrespectful. The 10 years Dunny spent at the Dees coincided when we were simply deplorable. AFL players give a hell of a lot so you can understand why he doesn’t rate his time at the Dees as highly as the Pies. My only knock on Dunn was his over the top celebrations when the Pies knocked the Dees out of the finals race in 2017. Other than that good luck Dunny and hope you get to play more AFL

  45. You mob are clowns. Half of you have no idea what the benefits of this training are and the other half are too ignorant to care. Blackouts like this can be common for people who have taken it too far like Trac. If we 5-1 in the black we’d be applauding him for pushing himself that little bit further. Peanuts.
