I hope every single Melbourne supporter enjoyed every minute of that today. That performance could not have gotten any better, and after the last decade and with what we've put up with it's so satisfying to put Carlscum to the sword. And think about this... Hogan had just one goal. Oliver and Viney were relatively quiet. Hibberd was tagged out of the game. Yet we still kicked 25 goals and made the Blues look like an Under 11 side. Melksham was BOG for me and what a recruit he has been. Not only did he kick 5 but he set up heaps with his sublime skills. McDonald kicked a bag, ANB got in on the act, Brayshaw continues to get better and better while the kids like Fritsch and Spargo are doing the same. Just a total team performance. Special mention to Bull Smith as well - he battled manfully in the ruck and did some excellent work around the ground. I love this bloody club and I hope you all do, too! DEMONS!!!!37 points

can't agree on Hogan. Played well all game and made lots of opportunities for others.23 points

We are now responsible for Carlton's biggest loss at the MCG, surpassing their 108 point loss to Collingwood in 2002.19 points

ANB lost his grandad, hence the armband. Did him proud. Played some sort of game today. His kicking was excellent!16 points

I definitely think Brayshaw is our most important mid currently. His calmness when being jumped on/tackled by two other players to simply turn and run or give off a good disposal is amazing. He now has 23 inside 50's over the last three games.14 points

Geez Gus was good today. 24 possessions and 12 tackles. That’s 12 tackles what a great effort. Keep it up.13 points

Why? 18 touches, 5 marks and 5 tackles plus 9 hitouts is more then Pedo will do. Plus Bull has some important knocks, tapons and spoils. Why drop a bloke after a great win for no reason?12 points

Jake Lever had more possessions than Clayton Oliver. What a time to be alive.10 points

I thought Bull was excellent. The first two goals of the 3rd quarter were achieved because he killed the contest when outnumbered 2 to 1 at full forward. What a great day.10 points

Tough on Vince. He had one bad kick out and everyone acts like he's a massive liability. Been solid all season.9 points

I’m going to go look again, struggling to find us... OH WAIT THERE WE ARE WAY UP NEAR THE TOP! WTF!!!9 points

Meh I guess that was ok.... Just kidding, that was so enjoyable and to the fat Carlton loser who was giving everyone the finger and swearing in the first quarter and then disappeared, go suck a sack of turds!9 points

I got so accustomed to the theme of today, I turned away in the last quarter as I drank my pint in the MCC and laughed without a care in the world, like I was a Hawthorn supporter...8 points

Most are spot on, although the comments on Spargo are way off the mark. Unless they want to rest him there is no chance he is getting dropped for Garlett. His footy smarts, toughness and pressure acts are invaluable at the moment.8 points

I like what Bull Smith brings to the table... 18 disposals, 9 hitouts, 5 tackles, 2 shots on goal. Whats the point of bringing in Pedersen who may or may not replicate Smiths numbers/impact? NO CHANGE8 points

Hold on, i thought Goodwin ruined the club by getting rid of Watts...lmao8 points

What a game that was. Even contribution across the field. Viney was pretty ineffective but will be much better for the run. For those saying that Hogan didn’t impact the game, I must insist that you look at our goals again. He must have directly assisted 4-5 which is a ridiculous number. He has become a supreme team player this year. Last year really transformed his from a boy to a man. Our best player wth Max so far this year. We have momentum now. It’s a 50/50 game against Adelaide next week, win and we really set ourselves up for a good year.7 points

His 45 metre, inside 50 pass to TMAC who handballed it on to Hannan for a goal, was an exemplar of his decision making and execution skills... long may Brayshaw have a good clear run of injuries.7 points

That was a clinical dismantling. That’s what good sides do. We continued to harass and work hard and crack in for 4 quarters. We took first options. We played like every goal should be celebrated and every goal hurts. All without a huge impact from Oliver, Viney and Hogan. Those that think football no longer has positions and you just have backs, Mids and forwards watch Fritsch play a wing and Brayshaw play a ruck rovers role. Those two and Tmacs return has completely changed our shape.7 points

Commentators saying Carlton are a young side that is their excuse. Unfortunately for them we were younger. No research lip flappers. Go Deeeees!7 points

Thank Christ the website update worked overnight. imagine if we had nowhere to gloat after that performance!7 points

Toatally disappointed we didn’t win by 150, sack the coach, trade all the players and disband the club!!!7 points

I was one of his biggest supporters on here when others were laying the boots in. His best football at Essendon always came on HFF and wing, decent enough to finish 2nd in their BnF in a finals year. He was started by Goodwin down back, which he doesn't suit. As soon as he was shifted forward/midfield he has been good. His kicking is a highlight, despite a shaky first few games in front of goal. He's perfect up forward for us. Can play as a main target or play a negating role. Loved his game where he took Rance to the cleaners earlier this year! Not only is he capable of kicking bags of 4-5 every few weeks, he sets up a number of goals to others with his great field kicking and footy smarts. Great to see him and Hobbo enjoying their footy again after what would've been a really sh*t time there for a few years.6 points

In all seriousness, watched on TV and haven't seen that kind of massacre on a footy field since the Neeldy days (wrong side) and Daniher days (right side). We should wear the royal blue every week. I made a deal with myself, if we win this week I buy one and get it shipped overseas. Looking forward to its arrival.6 points

The key was that they played as a unit. And all of a sudden we have five or six forward options at any one time.6 points

Gee with some fair umpiring, we could have won by 25 goals!! Bring on the crows6 points

Carlton play a tough contested brand of footy, but just have far too many crap players. No coaching or game plan can help when you’ve got the likes of Kerridge who rack up possessions on the wing, turn inboard and kick a scrubber along the ground in to the centre and turn a clear avenue to goal in to another contest. We’re in 3rd gear. Find 4th and we will annihilate them. And Plugger McDonald, you are a star.6 points
