Didn't he re-sign with the dogs already?

What could go wrong?????

I would turn down their offer as well. They are staring down the abyss. List on a shocking state.

Apologies.  If he has resigned with the Dogs, he knocked back an incredible offer to stay.

Offer from us??

I believe some people are saying that the Saints may be offering a similar deal to Weitering?

He may need the money because of the scam situation he was involved, hard to pass on a huge offer like that.

Bounce this thread. He’ll definitely become available and I think is in a worse position than Oliver and / Trac so trade value will be much lower. Probably a late 1st or 2nd rounder.

Now I don’t know the back story and due diligence is required to determine whether he can be rehabilitated. But he has upside and is still very young. Oscar Allen is Hawthorn bound and there is nothing really else out there.

The media has gone mental on Tracc showing emotion after the Cats game, imagine what they would do to us if we got JUH after the Smith, Tracc and Oliver sagas.

Some of the Dogs senior players would drive him to his new team just to make sure he was really gone.

If you think Clazza is unpopular with his teammates, you ain’t seen nothing yet.

a few "buyer bewares" on the lad - but expect him to turn his career around in Geelong, that's how it works isnt it?

You can just see this happening with the influence of Bailey Smith weeing in his ear that Chris Scott wants you at the cattery.

Our problems are more fundamental than paying a high price for a troubled fwd that may not be that great.

There are far greater issues to resolve than to think this guy is a solution to any.

  • REPORT: Adelaide

The atmosphere at the Melbourne Football Club at the beginning of the season was aspirational following an injury-plagued year in 2024. Coach Simon Goodwin had lofty expectations with the return of key players, the anticipated improvement from a maturing group with a few years of experience under their belts, and some exceptional young talent also joining the ranks. All of that went by the wayside as the team failed to click into action early on. It rallied briefly with a new strategy but has fallen again with five more  consecutive defeats.

  • CASEY: Coburg

The Casey Demons returned to their home ground which was once a graveyard for opposing teams but they managed to gift the four points on offer to Coburg with yet another of their trademark displays of inaccuracy in front of goals and some undisciplined football that earned the displeasure of the umpires late in the game. The home team was welcomed by a small crowd at Casey Fields and looked right at home as it dominated the first three quarters and led for all bar the last five minutes of the game. In the end, they came away with nothing, despite winning everywhere but on the scoreboard and the free kick count.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Adelaide

The Demons were wasteful early before putting the foot down early in the 2nd quarter but they chased tail for the remainder of the match. They could not get their first use of the footy after half time and when they did poor skills, execution and decision making let them down.
