I reckon Joel Smith does a defensive role on Moore. Try and get a match up between JVR and Frampton. Moore will take Fritsch. I’d back our boys in, and they’d struggle against Max.

Moore will slaughter Smith, it wouldn’t even be a contest. Seriously, if we have a one on one with Moore as our only option, kick it along the ground and await the contest, at least gives a chance to try and set up the defence behind. If it’s in the air then it will be coming back faster than it went in.

All of the bed wetter 'supporters' that want to talk up Collingwood and take pot shots at our lads will hopefully learn a bit from the WCE match. No team is invincible and Pies aren't superheros.

Don't believe anyone has claimed that. Hyperbole much?

De Goosey will get 4 or more weeks for that.

Injuries also to Hoskin-Elliott and McCreery although I'm not sure of the severity.

De Goey gone also helps.

Collingwood showed weakness today and whilst I said less than 24 hours ago that I don't think we could win on current form, I think we csn give them a shake if we bring serious heat all game.

I have zero confidence against the pies, however I am just wishing it's us that ends their domination this year.  Can't think of much worse watching a Power V Pies GF.

Anyone looking for a ticket? Decided not to come over for the game and have a spare. You’ll have to sit with my family…. there’s always a downside.

I almost coughed up a small part of my 7+ marble score, porterhouse steak when I read that ha ha.

If Collingwood can be challenged by a rabble West Coast side fielding half a WAFL outfit and down to two on the bench, then this game is right there for us if we're good enough.

But let's not get sucked into the "De Goey's out" stuff. They bat deep. It's obviously a big loss but we need to focus on the 23 they play, not the ones they don't.

Just from AFL HQ ,instead of suspending De Gone they are altering the Rules of the Brownlow snd awarding it to him plus he is free to play for the rest of the season. Eddie would like to thank the AFLfor interfering and allowing natural justice to take place !!

DeGoey, goin’, gone!

we can win if we bring our defensive game.  That and stopping the poor turnover skills under no pressure.

Has there even been a hint that Petty will be ready this week?

Unfortunately Bowey will miss a week (or two) with concussion.  Maybe  Hibbo (or Disco if Hibbo doesn't get up).

Harmes will be offered 2-3 for what a couple of Cats were not even cited.  Oliver back according to coach.

Otherwise probably no change.  Goody said that Smith provided a point of difference so will probably stay (unless BB has a pearler at Casey).

I reckon Smith looked pretty comfortable, given the time he has experienced out of the big-League game. He is a point of difference, as well, with some precursors suggesting usefulness and linkages up forward. JJ should come in and could replace the injured Bowey, rotating with Brayshaw in a half-back to midfield roving, clearance and attacking first line. Disco could play tall in the backline, as well, and much depends on the availability of Petty in this regard, to free up Lever. I'd like to see Chandler in a more 'roving' role through midfield-forward - Kozzie must stay forward forever dangerous, whilst key forwards (ie: JVR and Smith - perhaps Sparrow) lead to space as targets, and link up with midfielders/flankers.

This week on the track will tell us a lot I guess Roost. The day before the game marks 23 days since he injured his hammie.

No. Still listed as 2-3 weeks in injury report and no mention of him by anyone in media.

Bit like us playing Carlton, just getting the job done without breaking the bank

West Coast wouldn't do anything like that.  They've lost all their matches.

Very good.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
