Saints are a certainty tonight against Port despite it being the second most even game according to the bookies.

In 2021 we beat Fremantle in a round 1 home game.

In 2021 we broke a 57 year premiership drought.

In 2023, who played Fremantle in a round 1 home game?

In 2023, who has a 57 year premiership drought?

Scott Pendlebury is a huge out for Collingwood against Adelaide on Sunday due to an eye injury

Agreed. Great player. And I'm led to believe that he was a Melbourne supporter in his youth.

Collingwood and Essendon have the toughest follow up games off short breaks.

Wouldnt surprise if they both are mangled by halftime. Dees could be on top if the cards fall our way.

St Kilda cant be trusted but neither can Port.

Eagles wont play badly every game and are due  to have a dip at home.

Carlton losing would be the best R7 result by far.

Some great games to look forward to.

I fancy Port tonight. They've had a very difficult first 5 games to be 3-2. Had a training run against the Eagles last week so will be fresh for this one.

Not sure which way bombers and cats will go.

Crows to beat the pies. They're a very tough opponent at Adelaide Oval. I'm glad we play them at the G this year.

There could be some very one sided matches this weekend.

I hope we have a good win, Adelaide beat Collingwood & I know people aren't Geelong fans but I hope they thrash Essendon.

I like tonight's game.

Either Port lose and we become that little bit more secure in the top 4, or St Kilda lose and our pursuit of top-2 becomes a little easier.

Football is a very different experience when you have faith in your own team continuing to be competent!

Hmm, it would appear that my MFCSS is in remission.

Port are in good form. won the last 3

i reckon they will get up.

No wonder the saints are top of the ladder. 5 out of their six games and wins have been in Melbourne.

Only losss was the gather round which does not count as a travel game since we all did it.

Now they have 2 more games in Melbourne. Best draw in the comp.

But did you know he played basketball?

Big game for Saints tonight.

Ross Lyon is starting to remind me of Swooper the way that he has his players at all levels playing that little bit better

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.

It's Game Day and the Demons face a monumental task as they take on the top-of-the-table Magpies in one of the biggest games on the Dees calendar: the King's Birthday Big Freeze MND match. Can the Demons defy the odds and claim a massive scalp to keep their finals hopes alive?

  • CASEY: Collingwood

It was freezing cold at Mission Whitten Stadium where only the brave came out in the rain to watch a game that turned out to be as miserable as the weather.
The Casey Demons secured their third consecutive victory, earning the four premiership points and credit for defeating a highly regarded Collingwood side, but achieved little else. Apart perhaps from setting the scene for Monday’s big game at the MCG and the Ice Challenge that precedes it.
Neither team showcased significant skill in the bleak and greasy conditions, at a location that was far from either’s home territory. Even the field umpires forgot where they were and experienced a challenging evening, but no further comment is necessary.
