Bring-Back-Powell 15,557 Posted April 27, 2023 Posted April 27, 2023 Saints are a certainty tonight against Port despite it being the second most even game according to the bookies. In 2021 we beat Fremantle in a round 1 home game. In 2021 we broke a 57 year premiership drought. In 2023, who played Fremantle in a round 1 home game? In 2023, who has a 57 year premiership drought? 1 2 Quote
Demon Disciple 12,538 Posted April 27, 2023 Posted April 27, 2023 Impressive that Wurundjeri land extends from the MCG all the way to Optus Stadium 1 Quote
Neil Crompton 5,852 Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 GWS a shoe-in to beat the Swans now that Toby Bedford is playing. Best wishes for his first game for them. 3 2 Quote

MrFreeze 2,055 Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 Saints at Marvel, easy home win for them IMO Brissy at home, slaughter Swans, probably Doggies Dees Baggers Dons Tiges and, Adelaide for the smokey in a shootout. Game of the round will be this one for sure. Quote
YearOfTheDees 3,266 Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 Wondering how the two Anzac day teams might go this week. Won't be surprised if they both get beaten. 1 Quote

Elwood 3184 1,365 Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 Scott Pendlebury is a huge out for Collingwood against Adelaide on Sunday due to an eye injury Quote

Deebauched 1,220 Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 (edited) Collingwood and Essendon have the toughest follow up games off short breaks. Wouldnt surprise if they both are mangled by halftime. Dees could be on top if the cards fall our way. St Kilda cant be trusted but neither can Port. Eagles wont play badly every game and are due to have a dip at home. Carlton losing would be the best R7 result by far. Edited April 28, 2023 by Deebauched 1 Quote
BDA 23,048 Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 Some great games to look forward to. I fancy Port tonight. They've had a very difficult first 5 games to be 3-2. Had a training run against the Eagles last week so will be fresh for this one. Not sure which way bombers and cats will go. Crows to beat the pies. They're a very tough opponent at Adelaide Oval. I'm glad we play them at the G this year. 1 Quote
Bitter but optimistic 22,289 Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 I've put a week's wine budget on the Saints. 1 1 Quote
dees189227 12,518 Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 There could be some very one sided matches this weekend. I hope we have a good win, Adelaide beat Collingwood & I know people aren't Geelong fans but I hope they thrash Essendon. Quote
Little Goffy 14,972 Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 I like tonight's game. Either Port lose and we become that little bit more secure in the top 4, or St Kilda lose and our pursuit of top-2 becomes a little easier. Football is a very different experience when you have faith in your own team continuing to be competent! Hmm, it would appear that my MFCSS is in remission. 1 Quote
YearOfTheDees 3,266 Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 I am very quickly coming to the conclusion the Voss cannot coach. Lose this week and that becomes a fact. Quote
DubDee 26,684 Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 Port are in good form. won the last 3 i reckon they will get up. Quote

leave it to deever 17,621 Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 (edited) No wonder the saints are top of the ladder. 5 out of their six games and wins have been in Melbourne. Only losss was the gather round which does not count as a travel game since we all did it. Now they have 2 more games in Melbourne. Best draw in the comp. Diamond_Jim 12,778 Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 Big game for Saints tonight. Ross Lyon is starting to remind me of Swooper the way that he has his players at all levels playing that little bit better Quote
