Freo could be in trouble. Weather forecast for Sydney this weekend is cold and wet . GWS could knock them off if it rains.

Its in Canberra.

And it’s going to be lovely and sunny this coming weekend in Sydney 😀 anyway

It's not negative. I'm just stating that there's a good chance we won't finish in the top four.  Are we going to bury our heads in the sand?

No.  What we should all be hoping for  to bury is Brisbane, for starters.
What a pathetic meaningless thread.

GWS and St Kilda both have something to prove and will want to finish the season off well, especially the Saints after last week.

Swans are in red hot form, but Saints might not get blown out of the water, and we might have another big win against the Lions.

To suggest we are not finishing top 4 a week before the final 8 is settled, is frankly, just posting garbage for the sake of posting garbage.

There should be a rule for removing stupid click bait thread titles.

I remember beating them convincingly recently 🤷🏼‍♂️

Can’t believe how negative some of our supporters are.

im surprised there’s not a recent thread called “ we won’t win the 1964 or  2021 flag”

If we win, we're near-certain to play Sydney, with only percentage deciding whether it's at the MCG or SCG.

In the unlikely event Sydney loses to St Kilda, we will host:

  1. Collingwood, if they beat Carlton
  2. Fremantle, if Collingwood loses and Fremantle wins
  3. Sydney, if both Collingwood and Fremantle lose and Sydney maintains its percentage buffer over Brisbane
  4. Brisbane, if both Collingwood and Fremantle lose and somehow Sydney sheds so much percentage that they drop past Brisbane (who will have also lost to us)

If we lose, we can still finish top 4 but would need two of these things to happen:

  1. Collingwood loses to Carlton
  2. Fremantle loses to GWS
  3. Sydney loses to St Kilda and sheds enough percentage to drop behind us

Those are in order of likelihood. The last one isn't happening, because St Kilda stink. So if you want an insurance policy, get around GWS.

For a post that virtually all are saying shouldn’t be a separate topic, why is it getting enough oxygen to expand onto a 3rd page? (I apologise for adding to the topic)

I also cannot believe that people are responding to this thread thus one by one expanding the number of pages attached to said thread.

We're not beating Brisbane up there so as long as Collingwood beat Carlton which is likely or Fremantle beats GWS we will finish out of the top four.  If that happens we have to hope Sydney loses by more than us. Doesn't look good.

We're winning the flag!

And in the unlikely chance of a draw we would play Geelong.

I agree entirely.  I just wish people would not reply. How stupid are they?

Tbh everyone has the right to share their views, we’ve all encountered MFCSS at some point in time. Positive or negative, hopeful or cautious, it just shows that our current form is not as confidence inspiring. Nevertheless, I couldn’t believe how tight the table looks right now.. this will be a big week in footy!

It's pitiful, it's almost like they revel in the misery 🤔

Meanwhile I've added another to the ignore list, it makes Demonland way more enjoyable

sportsbet has it effectively 50/50 to beat Brisbane, I wouldn't be so negative.

“We're not beating Brisbane up there so…..”

Because they smashed us in the middle of last year….then easily accounted for us in the final in Adelaide and pulverised us on the G earlier this year…wait…what??!!

FFS stop sooking and start supporting. If you actually let yourself enjoy these times, it’s a thrill ride.

Or would you rather Less pressure and be focussing on another high draft pick?

I’d just like to say that I am not going to post in this topic.

Wanna bet? More sure of beating Brisbane than any other 8 team, only crew that make our offence look good, and our pressure is higher for longer. Easiest game of the next 4.

I think we can beat The Bears comfortably.

We ARE finishing top 4.

So there 😛

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
