Lost at the selection table

You're never winning when you allow Mason Cox to look like Jimmy Stynes.

Daniel Turner was not ready.

Don't want to hear about the concussion.

You could tell he was not ready before the concussion.

Enough is enough, bring JVR at least he will try and do something. You can see like Disco that these young players are hungry.

A lot of complacency in the list from last year, ANB should be embarrassed of his form.

For the first time ever I left the game early. I couldn't stomach sitting there watching us get overun.

Strangely some Collingwood fans have chosen to leave early to

Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic.

No connection. No composure. No forward line. No Grand Final. Forget it.

Btw someone tell Petracca to stop doing ads and TV appearances, there is a premiership to win here!

He can do all that BS when retired.

He did some really good things. He was ok.

Alex Neal Bullen & sparrow need to get better

Look at who we play after the bye, I’m confident if one win. The crows.

Lets get Goodwin back punting and on the beers, our clearance work is shot.
Harmes, Sparrow and Nibbler fumble more than baby with a bar of soap.

We can’t handle the pressure, we play slow long dumb football.
Can’t run out games, it’s like we are unfit. We sit off teams and watch them waltz it through our structure (and that never changes, so we are cooked there)

Hope no one got back to back tattoos…

Lost top spot and lost 7%. Horrible day for the club. It’d be good to win a queens birthday match at some point. Bring back Jack Watts to kick the sealer

Not sure why we continue to turn off when we get a cushy lead. has happened 3 weeks in a row with no response. Really concerning

The only good thing to come outta that (aside from a great cause) was the $$ i had on the Pies

How did this team win a flag!?! Honestly, a bunch of one way runners when the game is on the line.

Don't worry, Ive already filed a missing persons report for Mitch Brown.

I’m sure glad the Queen has a different birthday here in WA

May is a massive structural loss to our defence.

  • REPORT: Richmond

The fans who turned up to the MCG for Melbourne’s Anzac Day Eve clash against Richmond would have been disappointed if they turned up to see a great spectacle. As much as this was a night for the 71,635 in attendance to commemorate heroes of the nation’s past wars, it was also a time for the Melbourne Football Club to consolidate upon its first win after a horrific start to the 2025 season. On this basis, despite the fact that it was an uninspiring and dour struggle for most of its 100 minutes, the night will be one for the fans to remember. They certainly got value out of the pre match activity honouring those who fought for their country. The MCG and the lights of the city as backdrop was made for nights such as these and, in my view, we received a more inspirational ceremony of Anzac culture than others both here and elsewhere around the country.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

  • POSTGAME: Richmond

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.
