Before I even scrolled down when I saw Clarry in this photo my mind flashed back to the RDB photo above and thought how close they were.

It was always my favourite action photo of Barass when It was published after the 1961 Prelim Final we lost to  the Dogs that year.

Now I think  this is also a great photo of Clarry BUT no doubt we will and he deserves it be totally crazy over his one finger salute photo after his vital goal in the Bang Bang Bang trio just before 3/4 time in the GF.

A great photo still excites us just as much these days even with other avenues of memorabilia.

They look sharp but I guess they take the best looking plays in a package like that!

AMW seems to be getting a bit of it as well!

It's good to see they've mixed up the first choice team a bit - it's a great motivator for players outside the best 22 to knock the door down.  From memory pre-season last year many of the players said Jordon was a standout on the track and in match sim.

I've thought that in previous pics of Oliver as well, think I even posted I might be dislexic because 13 is looking alot like 31.

If JVR plays like he looks like he will Jason Taylor needs to be formally recognised as the best in the business.

Andy Moniz Wakefield looked pretty classy in that clip also.

Kozzy just seems like he'll go up another level. Couldn't believe my eyes how he easily ran down Hunt.

The Jacob Van Rooyen clunk has me excited. Not only that but his ability to leap over Joel Smith who probably has one of the highest vertical leap at the club. Is it me or did that contested mark remind me of Aaron Naughton? very impressive.

Did I see Jake Bowey playing forward in those clips? Interesting!

As for Clarrie, in recent years he has reminded me a great deal of the great RDB. They have the same relentlessness, energy, attack on the game and on the ball, the same ability to galvanise the team.

Great mark by JVR. Also, what was Tata doing in the 2s forward line?

He made Hunt look like he had cement boots on, not an easy feat.....

Me too. At 194cm Van Rooyen will need a decent leap to be a key forward at AFL level (which is small for a key forward these days) and he looks to have excellent judgement/timing.

JAKE MELKSHAM Just when a few thought he was cooked he trained the house down and kicked some very classy goals and set up well as a forward.

So good to know how hard the boys are training. And your report is a delight to read! In particular, I’m so pleased to hear this about Melks.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

    TRAINING: Wednesday 15th January 2025

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
