Even though we are winning this is being played the way the Lions want.

our defence is a bit fumbly and we 2-3 goals against we’re just poor defence. Hopefully the nerves have settled and they have a better rest of game.

The crowd looks barely 5k, the fact we've had to move the game from our home game for this.... just another bloody putrid call by this tin pot business that is the AFL.

I take it back... the crowd is fine.

Cameron is a cheat, we need someone to sit goal side of him.

Think we were more comfortable at the intensity, pretty happy with that first quarter in a whole. Brisbane can’t sustain the chaos for 4 quarters

According to the commentators Salem had Cameron for those goals and Smith has been shifted on to him after the third.

Smith was standing on his own in the pocket like a headless chook. Salem was caught trying to help out because Smith keeps losing touch and winding up standing stagnant outside the pack. He’s causing our entire defense to lose shape. Need to get him the [censored] out of the team. Surely the coaches can see the experiment is done and finals is not the time for experimentation over proven form in Hibberd. Get Hunt or Hibberd back in next week.

Hibbo in for Smith

Not sure it would have helped. Smith at least has the speed.

Can't help but feel that some of these selections are for the long term, getting experience into the younger players.

Ugh could really just go for an easy win tonight. Brisbane's small forwards have been dangerous and they've been on top in the clearances. Need Maxy to lift, well beaten by Big O that quarter. Nibbler absolutely superb so far, making it look completely dry out there.

both sides playing well, thought they have a high reliance on charlie cameron, time to close him down tight.our ball handling has been pretty good, goal kicking has been pretty good compared to many games. Go dees

Clean footy, will be interesting to see how we counter Cameron. Causing all sorts of headaches.

Need to make him accountable and not give him a free run

So seems a lot of Crows fans are at the game judging by the boos every time Lever touches it.

Trust them to go to the match for some free hot chips

Seems Salem might have been on Cameron. I Smith fails I'd give Bowser a crack.

Feeling good about the game, but we need prime Jetta out there right now to combat the Lions' defence.

With McStay out for the game, our backline is probably too tall. We need Smith to play short, which it sounds like he's been asked to do (now manning Cameron).

Rivers shaky. Bowey characteristically calm. Gawn quiet early but getting into it. McDonald and Brown both providing a good target.

I feel like all the Lions' goals have come from turnover. They're a good turnover team, but we're getting them more than they're getting us. Excellent base to launch the rest of the game from.

Smith just not ready for this level of game yet

Losers. What a joke to go to a game your team isn’t playing in just to boo someone. Seriously get a life.

If we can transplant a footballers brain into Smiths head, we’ll win this comfortably. Defense is struggling when the ball hits the deck, as Smith and Rivers are losing touch of their men. Tidy that up, and we’re sorted. Our forwards look dangerous tonight.

Lions are such a good side! Berry and Bailey are such good footy players.

We need to slow down the ball movement into Lions fwd 50 as we look under done in the backline. Hibbs not selected... hhmmm

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
