Getting nothing from the umps. Having said that, this game was lost at selection

We wish. Wouldn’t have made an iota of difference.

You forgot Harmes.

Been banging on about him all year.

Can't stand him as player.

So, will Goodwin shuffle the magnets - Gus into the guts maybe for a start.  Sadly not sure what else there is though.

Getting slaughtered in the middle. Leave Dogga in the ruck. Play Max forward. Move Tmac wing. More pressure on their mids

Was Clarry playing Q2?

Watch the off the ball work on Oliver, should be getting frees

Will we get fined for tanking, we rather play port than bne, get the cross over and meet Geelong in the gf

I know that we won’t win from here but need to win back some respect in the second half.!!!

T Mac has been beyond insipid tonight. We can’t in all seriousness take him into next week. Bring back Melk. Bring back anyone.

McDonald has shown that if his body is not 100% right, he's woeful. Also, by his own admission he takes several weeks to get into marking form. Well sorry bud, you're my favourite player but we just don't have that sort of time.

Obviously they have a cunning plan

They’d better pull some cunning stunts then!

So if we lose to port in adelaide we play gws or swans i guess.

I cant believe how soft our tackling is.

We are so flat footed.

So you don’t like TMac, Brayshaw, Harmes and Fritsch.

Not many left Dazzle.

Smith should be delisted.  One good game v crows. Terrible tonight

Rohan has had 2 kicks.  Who would not have had a goal kicked on them in that onslaught?

Manage Gawn’s minutes from here.

I think your post is the most embarrassing

How? Sure, our performance this half has been awful and I can see why people are frustrated, but the abusive comments directed at certain players are just gutless.

Admittedly we have not been good in the first half, BUT too much negativeism is floating in the place.  !!!!!!

Losing at Centre bounce => Defence not ready => easy goals . Quite simple really.

Viney taken high by Selwood - no free.

And did Dangerfield shoulder Clarrie high?  Nothing to see Mr Christian

Imagine some of the posters on this site were Carlton supporters at half time in the 1970 grand final. Some of the bile towards our team and players is woeful. Yes it a bad performance but whether we win or lose you still need three wins to claim the cup. Let see what transpires in the finals before we commit hari kari

Yet we somehow lead in. inside 50s 30 - 27 ..... but no structure.

That's our issue, we were on top for almost the first quarter and a half, dominated inside 50's, but compare Hawkins, Cameron, Rowan to Brown, McDonald and Fritsch. Their forwards only need a sniff and manage to find space....so frustrating. Makes me want to vomit.

I come here, eat popcorn and inhale the hysteria.

I mean, this is the place for it right?

  • Thank You Simon Goodwin

As Demon fans, we’ve ridden a rollercoaster of emotions over the decades; the heartbreaks, the near misses, the wooden spoons, and the endless waiting. But through it all, we clung to hope. And then came Simon Goodwin. Before he ever wore red and blue, he was a champion in his own right. A five-time All-Australian, two-time Best and Fairest, and two-time premiership hero and Captain with Adelaide, Simon Goodwin was always destined to lead. When he transitioned from the field to the coach's box, first as an assistant at Essendon, he began shaping a new legacy.

  • PREVIEW: Western Bulldogs

Long ago and far away, the Melbourne Football Club replaced its coach in difficult circumstances after the team suffered a devastating loss. In the aftermath, I penned the following words: “Then came the politics, the intrigue, the axing, the sound of the football world laughing at a club, the circling of the media vultures, the reinvention of history, the anger, the irony, the pathos, the hurt on the face of the president, the dignified departure of the coach, and the determination of the newly appointed caretaker.” Today, we’re back in the same place although one difference here is that the coach who was terminated this time is Simon Goodwin, the man who four years ago

  • REPORT: West Coast

The Charles Dickens novel, A Tale of Two Cities, opens with, “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, …”  This phrase highlights many of the significant challenges that humanity encounters in life, ranging from experiencing remarkable highs to living in times of despair. This is a concept that should resonate with all supporters of the Melbourne Football Club this morning as they reflect on its comprehensive 83-point victory over the struggling West Coast Eagles at Marvel Stadium. The outcome proved beyond doubt that they are the worst of clubs and that we are the best of the worst.

The Demons return to town fresh off a thumping win over the back-to-back wooden spooners, the West Coast Eagles, played in front of a sparse crowd at Marvel Stadium, the same venue that hosted last week's heartbreaking loss.
