Just a dumb thing to do and especially 3 weeks out from finals. Not the right time to be out of the team. He may not get back in as someone may come in, step up and take there chance.

What a nonsensical and unnecessary  thing to do. Poor leadership from our VC who is still struggling for form post a long injury lay-off.
As stupid as him trying to break 900 tackles a game.

Going straight to the tribunal. It’s a poor look and if the situation was reversed we would be livid.

My god you need a break, go for a walk. Then poor a nice red and regain some perspective.

Why? I'm sick of his play.  Can't hit a target or shake a tackle.  Time to go

This is going straight to the tribunal?

It seems so.

Charged with 'serious misconduct'.

iirc being sent straight to the Tribunal means a suspension - just a matter of how many weeks.  Of course the club can appeal any suspension.

It looked unprompted.  Jack had his elbow pushed into the kids neck for about 5 seconds.   And it was off the ball.

Will be lucky to play Monday night.

Absolutely deserves a week,  but the Selwood case earlier in the year sets a precedent really.  He got a $1500 fine from memory

That’s not tough Jack, disappointing footage of a vice captain doing it.

He’ll get a fine, after Buddy got off for his elbow, anything goes at the moment.

AFL a bit soft on swinging elbows, but IF Jack was doing something that meant a player couldn’t easily breathe he’ll miss games and can only blame himself

This league is a joke, the AFL should compensate us for wasting our time with this rubbish

Why? He deliberately pushed his elbow into the neck of an opponent. It was not accidental, it was deliberate and dangerous. If someone did that to Oliver you would be calling for their head.
It is a totally unnecessary act when we try to protect the head. The intention behind it means he will get at least a week. So good luck to him getting back into the side.

Will get 1-2 weeks. Stupid thing to do from Jack. Completely avoidable and unnecessary. We were belting them in a nothing match, no need to put pressure on someone’s throat and trash talk him.

Take a few weeks off and try to get your old self back Jack.

Ha true, but surely we go in with that footage and say well whats the difference.

I think both incidents should be a game, they will all stop doing it if it is.

Reckon we could mount an argument that Collins is pulling him down on him given he's pulling Viney down by the jumper with two hands.

Really can't see the big deal on this one tbh.

Buddy got cleared as previous similar offences got fines. Find a similar one that got a fine, Jack free to play. Simples.

Silly from Jack but there’s nothing much in this. Players do this at training all the time

Collins doesn’t breathe from his ear hole.

Straight to the MRP is an overreaction. Holding someone down even if it is with the elbow to the side of the head is not striking and does not have the same impact.

Just stupid really.

In a game where it was pretty much a training drill, I for the life of me cannot undertake why he he would do this act. Have a scuffle, yep go for it, stick up for mates etc. I have no issues with it.

When you're deliberately putting pressure on someone's neck, it's simply not tough, it's stupis. Jack really does lack the common on field IQ at times.

Cop what we need to and move on.

Which video do you see?

Collins looked lifeless to me for the 5 seconds Viney had him pinned down by the neck.

No loss, just saved Goodwin the hassle of explaining to the media why he dropped his VC. Step up Vanders

Vineys fall from grace continues, his form has gone down the Trengove path with his foot.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
