Tried hard but couldn't find much info other than the game being Thursday 7:10pm at Marvel.

It is free on Kayo.

Any more info such as ticketing would be great.

Ticketing seems to change each week. At Box Hill you could buy a ticket at the gate whereas against Richmond it was the full online ticketing system

  • Demonland changed the title to CASEY: Rd 03 vs North Melbourne

Who comes up with this appalling schedule?

Bad luck if you're a Casey listed player who works full time, then needs to play a game of football in the middle of the working week.

Bad luck if Melbourne loses a few players at training on Friday and possible replacements have already played on Thursday.

What's wrong with having the game on Sunday?

And why on earth would you play it at Marvel - it must cost a fortune to open the ground for a few hundred people to turn up.

Thursday night VFL game at maevel...   bizarre scheduling.

Its the next best thing to the AFL teams being named on a Thursday.. we will know whos playing vs North.

It would have to be a Fox Footy mandated timeslot change  wouldnt it, to fill the void left by Thursday night Footy bizarrely being shelved again despite near unanimous favour for it.

The whole floating fixture at both levels is also a nightmare, it'd be nice to be able to plan ahead when I can try and get to Casey games.

Have set Foxtel to record this potentially epic television event but am curious about the team selection. Up until now, it’s been simple - wait for Melbourne to pick its team for the AFL game by which time, the VFL game is 10 minutes into the second quarter. I get that and it seems to work as beautifully as everything else in terms of communication with fans of AFL & VFL these days. But when will we know this week?

Tickets are available on Ticketmaster from 12pm today

https://www.ticketmaster.com.au/north-melbourne-v-casey-demons-docklands-victoria-04-29-2021/event/25005A96CD9E0F4A?_ga=2.201997585.1459085965.1619568033-267456132.1615529620

I assume that members get some kind of discount but I can't find any reference to confirm

I must admit I like the VFL filling the gap of no Thursday night football. I enjoyed being able to watch Footscray v GWS last week, and the production value of the Foxtel broadcast was far far superior to the channel 7 broadcast of Casey Box Hill a couple of weeks back that felt like it was filmed on an iPhone streamed back to the truck on 3G.

Ditto - was pretty absymal watching the Casey Richmond game on the livestream....looking forward to this Thursday night game.  Wowee - so good watching some of our AFL boys go at it, and then some of the up and comers.

At least you won't hear the bloke sniffing loudly on Fox I wouldn't have thought.

Unless it’s Dermie with a mirror and a rolled up 20.

I would play bbb and weids for a half each- excellent training run given the big game is Sunday.  Allows another look and match sim, but keeps one or both fit enough for selection.  Same for the medical sub.

Can’t wait to watch Casey tomorrow night. Will be keeping a close eye on Bowey and Weed. Chandler and Bedford

7 news said something along the lines that Melksham ✔️, and Jones ???, would be playing for Casey.

I’m guessing it’s Melksham to make way for Ben Brown, and Jones will now be managed to get him through the season and hopefully into the big dance. Will be interesting to see who replaces Jones (Sparrow or Chandler?).

Bedford probably a big chance for that spot too

Jones and Melksham can both have an important role at Casey.

They are leaders and would really straighten up the young players.

Jones can get back and help with the midfield, and Melksham can help the forward structure. They may enjoy it.

Their experience will set up young players for the big stage and both will be waiting in the wings if MFC are injury hit.

If form comes back to them, they get a call them up.

Be great if they can also play next year in Casey, for the same reason, of giving a bit back. Jonesy, midfield coach and player.

Casey has a chance of a grandfinal birth, given their good start to the season and our list.

Casey would have had to "start" around Christmas time to give birth in late September.

I can't believe there is no news on Casey's line up for tonight's game, keeping their cards close to their chest or is this standard procedure?

I reckon they will leave Jones home any interstate trip.

Anyone thinknits a bit bizarre that on a day of the game there has been no announced lineups??

  • CASEY: Geelong

There was a time in the second quarter of the game at the Cattery on Friday afternoon when the Casey Demons threatened to take the game apart against the Cats. The Demons had been well on top early but were struggling to convert their ascendancy over the ground until Tom Fullarton’s burst of three goals in the space of eight minutes on the way to a five goal haul and his best game for the club since arriving from Brisbane at the end of 2023. He was leading, marking and otherwise giving his opponents a merry dance as Casey grabbed a three goal lead in the blink of an eye. Fullarton has now kicked ten goals in Casey’s three matches and, with Melbourne’s forward conversion woes, he is definitely in with a chance to get his first game with the club in next week’s Gather Round in Adelaide. Despite the tall forward’s efforts - he finished with 19 disposals and eight marks and had four hit outs as back up to Will Verrall in the second half - it wasn’t enough as Geelong reigned in the lead through persistent attacks and eventually clawed their way to the lead early in the last and held it till they achieved the end aim of victory.

  • REPORT: Geelong

I was disappointed to hear Goody say at his post match presser after the team’s 39 point defeat against Geelong that "we're getting high quality entry, just poor execution" because Melbourne’s problems extend far beyond that after its 0 - 4 start to the 2025 football season. There are clearly problems with poor execution, some of which were evident well before the current season and were in play when the Demons met the Cats in early May last year and beat them in a near top-of-the-table clash that saw both sides sitting comfortably in the top four after round eight. Since that game, the Demons’ performances have been positively Third World with only five wins in 19 games with a no longer majestic midfield and a dysfunctional forward line that has become too easy for opposing coaches to counter. This is an area of their game that is currently being played out as if they were all completely panic-stricken.

  • PREGAME: Essendon

Facing the very real and daunting prospect of starting the season with five straight losses, the Demons head to South Australia for the annual Gather Round, where they’ll take on the Bombers in search of their first win of the year. Who comes in, and who comes out?

  • NON-MFC: Round 04

Round 4 kicks off with a blockbuster on Thursday night as traditional rivals Collingwood and Carlton clash at the MCG, with the Magpies looking to assert themselves as early-season contenders and the Blues seeking their first win of the season. Saturday opens with Gold Coast hosting Adelaide, a key test for the Suns as they aim to back up their big win last week, while the Crows will be looking to keep their perfect record intact. Reigning wooden spooners Richmond have the daunting task of facing reigning premiers Brisbane at the ‘G and the Lions will be eager to reaffirm their premiership credentials after a patchy start. Saturday night sees North Melbourne take on Sydney at Marvel Stadium, with the Swans looking to build on their first win of the season last week against a rebuilding Roos outfit. Sunday’s action begins with GWS hosting West Coast at ENGIE Stadium, a game that could get ugly very early for the visitors. Port Adelaide vs St Kilda at Adelaide Oval looms as a interesting clash, with both clubs form being very hard to read. The round wraps up with Fremantle taking on the Western Bulldogs at Optus Stadium in what could be a fierce contest between two sides with top-eight ambitions. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons besides us winning?
