We haven’t had one of these fun threads this season and it’s worked so far.

Disclaimer : This topic commenced later than the Days Since Last Loss thread. Days Since Last Loss thread is now the rightful owner of the word ‘jinx’ should we lose. :)

Fire away....

….be surprised, but a heck of a lot less surprised than most years.

This demons side is as legit as I've ever seen, and it's a wonderful thing to experience.

But win or lose I won't go read too much into it.
Beating both grand finalists in April would be nice, but I'd rather beat them in September.

Be releaved that the side is finally starting to live up to its potential.

To be honest, I won't be that surprised as we really should have beaten Richmond in at least one of our encounters in the last few years.

Time we stop being intimidated by these sides.  Richmond are good, but they are not invincible.

On a serious note, I will have true belief we have what it takes to go the whole way.

Richmond are the measuring stick and they showed great form last week. We'll need to bring out best

Be surprised, due to our 6 day break and their 9 days.

but very happy, and in for a noisy celebration in Stumps

Haha I thought we’d pleasantly left these threads behind us.

I’ll shave my head like Nathan Jones and walk down Main Street, Woodend in nothing but demons gear for the day.

I’ll hold you to that!!!

*please note I’m already bald and shave my head weekly and my demons gear is a Dees hat, jumper and shorts.

Understandably.  Thanks administrators.

Remind myself that it is a marathon and not a sprint

... immediately give the middle digit to all of my mates, my work colleagues, various general acquaintances, strangers on the street, anyone who’s given me carp over the last 20 years for supporting the Demons - and then remind all of those people that I told them that we’d win the flag this year and that they know nothing, before drinking all the booze in Victoria in one single session.

That’s how I’d roll.

It’d probably lead to a few regrets by Monday morning. And possibly also a little bit of time spent at her Majesty’s pleasure.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
