Collingwood have admitted wrong, apologised and will no doubt have made the necessary changes. I’m not sure what else he wants to happen 

Attention seeking. No doubt there was racism and it's been addressed but HL wants to go won't stop unless heads roll. He certainly seems to be carrying a chip on his shoulder and the media are feeding his ego because they know he'll give them material. It should be time for everyone to move on.

He was once one of us. Truly sad that there appears to be no end to his unhappiness.

However, with Pert now at our club, there is nothing that we can do for a former player who would otherwise be supported.

I have no tolerance for racists, bigots, sexists etc. Everyone is entitled to be treated equally and fairly.

I also don’t condone how the Pies have handled this and working in the corporate world would expect some spin and dishonesty in the whole process, but at least there has been acknowledgement and progress on the issue. Even Eddie was forced to resign, which is a considerable outcome as many would think he was untouchable. 
 

I hear lots of apologies have been offered, discussions have been had between those involved so not sure why reconciliation cannot be achieved. ultimately Lumumba needs to come forward and outline what he expects publically because soon the tables will turn on him as the footy community are compassionate and understanding but are losing patience (rightly or wrongly).
 

I think he would benefit greatly with some support and guidance behind the scenes on how he manages the whole affair as those with PR experience will take advantage of his inexperience and perceived irrational behaviour and we will miss a huge opportunity to learn as a society. 

If the Pies have subsequently done the right things since the Do Better report, why have Davis and Krakeour cut all ties to the club?

I guess it's hard to make a judgement on a dossier that we don't know what the contents are.

I do know that for Lumumba, it would be difficult to know which way to jump as the 'bar' gets manipulated according to the narrative that protects the powerful. The best example I can think of is when he basically said what was patently obvious after the McGuire/Goodes fiasco regarding his 'ha-halarious' King Kong joke: it didn't matter how powerful Eddie was, what he said was  racist and not to be condoned (paraphrase). 

Yet by saying something totally sensible, he was accused of 'throwing Eddie under the bus' and by extension was implied to be  in the wrong. Not Eddie for saying it in the first place. The 360 episode where Eddie looked like he was going to chew his face off Hannibal Lecter style showed how culpable Eddie thought he was for the whole fracas.

Then after publicly speaking out for years about how Collingwood fostered a culture of racism and bigotry (if what Allan McAllister said in the early 90's and Nicky Winmar's jumper raising wasn't enough), he was portrayed in the media as being mentally ill and a disruptive urger. Lo and behold, the crux of what he was saying was validated by the Do Better report.

Thus, I am going to reserve judgement on this. Up until now, the gaslighting that has occurred whenever Heritier Lumumba's name is raised (and a lot of the mayo added to the headlines about what he is up to these days) means we never really get the full picture as to whether his claims are valid (and they have been very much been on the ball in the past concerning Collingwood).

If someone complain about you in the workplace you have a right to confidentiality. This protect all parties until the matter is independently investigated. My problem with this is the way the issue are preemptively given to the media. Imagine how you would feel having untested allegations against you aired to all and sundry. If Lumuumba had complaints he should have the right to lodge them and have them independently heard so they move from allegations to findings. If I read it right he refused to raise or hand over the issues due to a lack of trust. If the Pies or AFL process is deficient he should target that in the media not individuals. A deficient unfair process would have significant liability for an employer. Instead he humiliates people like Gary Pert who in every facet of his time as CEO has demonstrated himself to be a professional caring individual. It seem completely unfair to me and that is not to devalue Lumuumba allegations which if true are a stain on those involved

Do people really think it through when they bellow ATTENTION SEEKER at people who blow the whistle on big organisations like this? I doubt Lumumba is motivated by having his name publicly dragged through the mud all over again and getting thousands of twitter @s and death threats from unhinged Collingwood supporters.

I don’t know the full story but I’m sure it’s more complex than this daft and illogical explanation.

I'm not going to share an opinion on this right now other than I deeply hope Heritier can get to a stage where he finds peace with this. That's all. 

This is much more than attention seeking but i am mildly suspicious after he attempted to sue(?) us after we didn't extend his contract after not triggering the games played cause due to concussion. 

Still, hope collingwood get what they deserve. And hope Neville can help right their ship as well.

I believe that he consulted the AFLPA. The club came out pretty quickly and said he wasn't pursuing legal action. Ultimately, it wasn't pursued.

Heritier can speak for himself about our club. I don't want to put words into his mouth how he feels about us today. However, the thing I can take most heart from during his time at our club is that when he sued Collingwood, the brief he submitted to the court stated that his experience improved the moment he was traded to us as the racial abuse stopped.

For me, that he said that says a lot.

He also mentioned that we could do stand to have an indigenous liaison at the club. We also took care of that.

What a mess, but I do find it strange that things like this didn't come our in the original airing of the problems.  Therefore it may be an individual trying to generate more attention for whatever reason they have.  From what I read none were racist in nature but inappropriate actions in a work place by some individuals.

Either way they seem a long way from sorting out the mess for all parties.

Nor has Biffen. Come to think of it, Uncle Bitters hasn’t nearly been as ubiquitous as in years gone past.

Those three and their hijinks made this place tolerable during the dark days of 2012-2013.

Could Demonland and its more recent tacking to respectability have scared them off? 🤔
