Looks like Tom has been told services no longer required

glad to see him go but disappointed we didnt make a trade for him- would get a game at carlton

Best of luck to Buggy.

He was going okay until he punched Mills. He was never the same player, or probably rated as highly by the FD, ever again.

2017 was a great year for Tom that ended with the game against the Swans.

Thought he would make it back in 2018 but it was not to be.

Thanks Tom.

you're disappointed in missing out on a pick in the 60's ? He has no trade value

Thanks Tom, Im not sure the club gave you quite the protection you needed after the Mills incident. But he was always a heart and soul player. Crap shot at goal lol...but a heart and souler.

Agreed 100%...

Fringe player who killed any momentum to cement his spot with a stupid punch.  Likely to be picked up as a free agent.

Thanks Tom, was hoping you could get more games, but it didn’t happen.

You made Hardware Lane...

He made an AFL list and played a few games, which is more that most of us here can boast.

Sorry that he didn't make the grade with us.

"He is gone, But he was here...." (Apologies to Willie Nelson)

I think these days the clubs see if any interest and if none then delist. They all do it.

thanks buggy. Unfortunately hung up to dry for his hit on Mills. Not the first player to have a brain fade. Some players Goodwin just doesn't favour and Bugg was one of them.

Says a bit about the club when players of Bugg's quality are delisted in their prime.  An excellent runner and tough too.  I expect him to get picked up.

Good to see him exiting with class.  no more junior or beamer debacles

He was going well until that game against the Swans. Good luck Tom i finding a new home.

We must have a few coming in.

It shows how one brain fade can knock you on your arze in any walk of life.

Gaff and Bugg basically threw similar punches (though Gaff's connected way worse based on the severity of injury inflicted) but sadly for Tom, Gaff is an A grader at his best while Tom was always depth/a role player.

Wasn't the hit on Mills it was the fact that his disposal by foot could be terrible at times - it just was not up to AFL standard.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The winds finally returned to Casey Fields for the Demons’ third home game of the VFL season, and its impact was immediate. After two opening rounds played in uncharacteristically fine conditions, the Anzac Day clash brought back the familiar gusty conditions that have been a feature of the region at this time of the year.
Forced to kick into the breeze first, the slow-starting Demons faced a tricky opening against an enthusiastic young Tigers outfit. Casey responded by turning the contest into a scramble, pressuring Richmond into errors and missed targets. The tactic proved crucial, keeping the game tight for three and a half quarters before the Demons pulled away with the autumn wind at their backs.

  • REPORT: Richmond

It seemed as if the whole purpose of the Anzac Eve clash at the MCG between the Demons and the Tigers was building toward that single, unforgettable moment when Kozzie Pickett soared above Campbell Gray and all but fittingly etched his name onto the face of the 2026 Frank ‘Checker’ Hughes Medal.
