Was a success as a mature age recruit to Roos then us.  Stepped up to the best of his ability when called.  Should retire satisfied based on his talent.

Good luck in the future Cam. I respect your efforts for our club, especially when we were a rabble. Never sooked or carried on when out of the seniors. never stopped giving your best. Others could take a lesson from you.

Respected club man, and I really hope he maintains contact with the MFC to share the good times when they come.

Cya Pedo.

Will always remember the great game he played in that breakthrough win we had against the Hawks in 2016, when they were still regarded as being in their prime.  The way we won that day, we shattered that illusion of them being unbeatable, at the same time building huge beleif in the side.  After beating West Coast in Rd 22 this year, that Hawks win was a huge building block in the beleif of the team and Pedo provided a great focal point and contest in the forward line in the absence of Jessy that day was a big part of us winning that game.  As mentioned his ability to fill in for Max last year was also so valuable.

Really liked the big strong pack marks he took and the hard physical presence he provided at ground level as well.  Was also a pretty decient set shot on goal.  I think there would be few frindge players as well loved as Pedo and I would love to see him get a regular gig at a club like Gold Coast, Brisbane or someone similar if the opportunity arose and he was so motivated.

All the best for the future Cameron.

Loved the Bear. He really did pull himself up after a very inauspicious start (he looked like he had one two many chiko rolls upon arriving and we all remember 'that' duck). However, with application, he made sure the Brock McLean trade wasn't ridiculously lopsided in the end.

Pedo is the perfect example of making the most of your capabilities. He didn't have the gift of speed/height/skills that some of the other guys do, but he performed when he was called upon, and always gave is all. It's clear that he loves the club, and I'm sure it was better for his presence. I wish him all the luck, seems like a he's a pretty nice guy, and did well to roll with his nickname!

Unlucky

Was very good in patches and very good Barack up forward

he was very handy and a sign now of our improved team , that he is now considered surplus.

great bloke at MFC functions    Always available for a quick chat

Thanks Cam

Loved pedo!

All the best mate to you and your family! How good was last year when he shouldered the main rucking role for us.

Thanks Cam ! Played through the dark times - I remember a terrible day at etihad where we couldnt clear the zone under Neeld , I yelled to ‘go the torp’ from a few rows in / he did , it came straight  back and he looked at me and said ‘see ‘!

Pissa .

And as said in this thread a great mark and adequately a backup ruck when we had injuries.

Well played Cam good luck and im sure you will kill it at a suburban league next year.

Just seems like one of the great guys to have around the club , he's enjoyed our rise this year as much as any of us .

Thanks for your service Pedo,  I'll miss you

Loads of respect for Cam. I haven’t seen a player, who wasn’t selected to play in the seniors, look so happy for their team and teammates when we’ve had a win. He put his body on the line and took a few beatings for the red and blue. All the best.

Always came across as a great clubman. Thank you for your years of service. Like others we loved calling PEEEDDDDDOOOO!!!!

Wishing you and your family all the very best with your future endeavors ?

Well done Cam. Got everything out of himself and literally plugged every hole this team ever had.

All the best!

I loved the dedication he showed to the Demons and Casey. He played some sterling footy in 2017 - and 2016 - and I felt for him when he was thrown into the deep end this year. All the best to him.

An excellent role model to our young players - wherever you are told to play on the field or at whichever level, give it your all and you'll end up much loved and well-respected. All the best, Cam.

Given his limited abilities he had a good run with us and North. Considering we traded Gysberts for him (long gone now) he was a decent pick up and put in some very valuable and memorable performances. He failed under Neeld’s “moneyball” tactic (most players did), but came good under Roosy and Co.

Any word on whether he’s going to stick around at Casey?

Anyway, thanks Cam!

I loved shouting Clunker when he took a pack mark.  An accurate kick for goal too!

Hope Casey pick him up as he is a great VFL player

His effort to step up as the first ruckman last year when Gawn was injured should never be forgotten, we could have done a lot worse than keep him for another year to be honest.

He comes across as a team man - always seemed happy to share in others achievements that didn’t involve him, like grinning from ear to ear in the rooms after a win he didn’t play in, or his embrace of Harrison Petty in the video the club put after the Petty was told of his debut. In the latter case, Petty’s selection was ahead of Pedersen himself.

Thanks for your services Cam and all the best.

Agreed, Nasher.  Really said it all when Pedo was camped half way up the race to greet the boys coming off the ground after the Finals win over the cats a coupla weeks back.  Seems like a genuine club man.  Glad he has been part of the MFC these past few years.  While not a star, he has been a very useful foot soldier.

Hats off. Not Demon royalty, but certainly a reliable courtier.

And we'll always have his big pack mark and his beautifully weighted pass to T-Mac in the last quarter in Perth in 2017.

And, let's not forget his mark on the boundary at the end of the Round 1 clash against Geelong this year, and the neat centering kick to big Max 20 metres out, straight in front, giving us the chance of snatching a win.  (Pity Maxy kinda spoiled the moment!)

That’s a great point, I think he was standing in the race congratulating the players as they came off the ground after the elimination final against Geelong.

Great story, will always have a special place. Lived through some of the most terrible times for our club.

All the best mate.

I've been a massive fan of the way Pedo conducted himself on and off the field over the past 3-4 years, even when he wasn't getting the AFL games that his form warranted. I wish him all the best for the next stage of his life.

That said, our ruck and key forward stocks are at critically low levels with the departure of Pederson, King & Filipovic. If Hogan was to leave as well the club would have a massive task to restock with limited draft picks available.

Last 2 minutes of game against bummers 2014, Pedo slippers tackle on half back boundary, fires off handball to Jordie McKenzie and ball eventually lands in Salem’s hands, Dee’s win by a couple of points. MAGIC! Thanks Cam, good to have had you on board.

And there was the match against Carlton in 2014 when we were about to win and the commentator said "Pedersen to ice the game."

  • PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

With both sides precariously positioned ahead of the run home to the finals, only one team involved in Sunday’s clash at the Adelaide Oval between the Power and the Demons will remain a contender when it’s over.  On current form, that one team has to be Melbourne which narrowly missed out on defeating the competition’s power house Collingwood on King's Birthday and also recently overpowered both 2024 Grand Finalists. Conversely, Port Adelaide snapped out of a four-game losing streak with a win against the Giants in Canberra. Although they will be rejuvenated following that victory, their performances during that run of losses were sub par and resulted in some embarrassing blow out defeats.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.

  • PREGAME: Port Adelaide

The Demons are set to embark on a four-week road trip that takes them across the country, with two games in Adelaide and a clash on the Gold Coast, broken up by a mid-season bye. Next up is a meeting with the inconsistent Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval. Who comes in and who goes out?

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.
