Just been delisted.

In a team lacking outisde run from the midfield, do we consider picking him up or possibly rookie him?

If we can get him for nothing, why not?

Only 23, if healthy worth a rookie

I thought he had a good season in 2017, but the Hawks delisted him.  North have delisted him 12 months later.

Being delisted twice in 12 months is a bit of a worry, however theres a decent chance someone will pick him up.

Sure why not. And Toumpas as well. One on each wing.

Pass, doesn't offer enough for me.

Id rather Usain Bolt. You will get the same result

If we’re in the market for one eye catching run per game that makes casual supporters go gee he looks good, then go for it.

Not quite. Would possibly rookie him but honestly would rather just go an 18 y.o

Put Garlett through an Intense off season endurance program and turn him into a fast burst outside mid if he is on list next year, bust a gut or you're out. Would be the same result as recruiting hartung though if they both shirk when it's their turn to go all in and don't have a ruthless kamikaze attitude

Very surprising given his body of work at North. Seems like something behind the scenes that is making clubs turn their back on him.

I wouldn’t mind seeing watts again as a rookie after port drops him

serious?

yep, yep, nope.

Sure he looks good running down a wing, but after he immediately turns it over by foot, all our players' would be out of position.

Opposition teams would be instructed to leave him free, so he can end up with the ball and virtually guarantee you'll get it back.

No no no

We have finally progressed to a point where, as a club, we no longer have to waste a single second of our time considering using a spot on our list for players like this.

Hallelujah.

When we are on about having A graders why would we even consider?

A definite no from me.  Jayden Hunt has some similar attributes, but is a much better footballer.  Continue to work on Hunty's development and build his confidence, and save the list space for (hopefully) another Jason Taylor late pick gem.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
