WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON

No way Freo let Langdon go for third rounder. He’s worth a late first/early second round pick. He’ll be top 5 in their BnF two years running now and is only 23.

Need to play hardball with Freo for an out of contract player after what they did to us with Hogan if he nominates us. Certainly nothing involving a first rounder. Maybe even a fake 'pulling out of the race' or some such bs.

Free slab of beer to the first person to suggest the need to play #hardball in the chase to get Langdon - referencing Bell/Hogan etc.

send me your address and I’ll drop it off...

postscript: that’ll be you then @TheoX

Hahha. From what we’ve seen the Dees are “fair”. If they want him they’ll pay for him in trade value and $.

I don't think we are allowed to use our FIRST ROUNDER this year. It may have to be a future first.

We need to make up stuff like Peter Bell - like we won't do the deal because Hogan Langdon's asking for a seven year deal.

Nice one Pete!

We can. It's a rolling 4 year period. We just have to use a first rounder either this year or next year.

Hope he likes playing with his bro.

I did, until we didn't.

I remember when playing for the Manangatang Saints U13s, the Ouyen under 13s were a player short so they made my younger brother don the Ouyen (Demon colours) jumper. In an incredible piece of future thinking he went The Full Stratton on me niggling niggling. I put him in a headlock then we both got sent off to my mother's horror.

Our first rounder for their first rounder and Langdon?

He’s gonna be worth more than our second rounder unfortunately

Seriously good player

Our second round pick (21 - 25) would go very close to getting it done. He is not worth a pick under 20.

Good player but he is not Brad Hill.

I agree that's about his worth but I suspect that given his age and steady improvement the Dockers will demand at least a lateish first round pick 14-18. Which I'd be happy for the club to pay but we don't have a late first pick to give.

*I'm not advocating this deal*

But if I was Freo I would offer Langdon and their first pick (10-12) for Gus Brayshaw and our 2nd.

Are the Brayshaw brothers from WA?

I don't think he is actually any good. I have watched him closely since mid last year when rumours started about him coming to Melbourne. His skills are not flash. Decision making isnt either. What do others see that i dont?

I regard him as a good, regular player rather than a first-rounder or potential star. As a utility, I'd regard him slightly higher and useful.  His pace is interesting to me, though. It seems above average and he is a solid tackler, too.

Elite runner, great speed, sloppy disposer.

Not sure how he'll address our diabolical use going inside 50.

Exactly!

People on here complaining about how terrible our disposal has been this year. As you mentioned, there’s no doubting the boys pace & run... but his guy would match some of our worst kicks in the team.

Once again the club’s top goal scorer but he had a few uncharacteristic flat spots during the season and the club will be looking for much better from him in 2025. After sustaining a torn ACL in the final match of the 2023 season Jake added a bit to the attack late in the 2024 season upon his return. 2024 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence. The move of “Disco” to a key forward post looks like bearing fruit. Turner has good hands, moves well and appears to be learning the forward craft well. Will be an interesting watch in 2025. 2024 Player Reviews: #13 Clayton Oliver

Lack of preparation after a problematic preseason prevented Oliver from reaching the high standards set before last year’s hamstring woes. He carried injury right through the back half of the season and was controversially involved in a potential move during the trade period that was ultimately shut down by the club. BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin

Melbourne’s most important player who dominated the first half of the season until his untimely injury in the Kings Birthday clash put an end to his season. At the time, he was on his way to many personal honours and the club in strong finals contention. When the season did end for Melbourne and Petracca was slowly recovering, he was engulfed in controversy about a possible move of clubs amid claims about his treatment by the club in the immediate aftermath of his injury.
