I agree with this.  I read a training report that Fritsch was training with the mids.

I think ANB comes out for Garlett and Fritsch will push up the ground.

Trac in for Salem of course.

They didn't train in their lines/groups today, it was mix and match, so Fritsch with the mids was this

Never said it would upset him.

Just will be interested in seeing it and tbh, I think you can get in his head where all he cares about is the niggly crap.

Nah not Nut, he would laugh at them

Cheers.

I still think Garlett comes in for ANB.

We are a better side when Garlett is up and going.

Garlett couldn’t possibly come in after 1 week and from reports he was just ok.

If Hogs misses Peds comes in ahead of Smith, Weid (while developing nicely) can’t lead that fwd line when TMac moves up the ground.

As usual need a really good going away from them win.

Didn’t Garlett have 10 tackles? Maybe that’s what coaches wanted to see but definitely an increase in Dees VFL players tackle counts. He fits into the side and what a dangerous forward line it becomes, it was only a couple of games ago he arguably won us the game v Lions. Mouth watering if he’s on.

Interchange for me should be Spargo, Fritch, Smith and Garlett/ANB. Toss up between the last two for me. Do not mind either way. Spargo and Fritch stay after performance last week and I would like to see Smith get a run to see what he has got to bring.

I still do not like the look of the team with Vince, Lewis and Jones  there.

Don't have a go at him, I thought it was hilarious, a stream of conciousness, without the need for paragraphs

Yeah - I was looking for @La Dee-vina Comedia to pass judgement on the style of prose to bring further frivolity.

2 of those games had less then a kick in them, playing Fremantle in Perth is always hard, and collingwood were close to  useless last year.

Tx for clarifying. I feel better.

Give Jeffy a chance on a dry, fast deck against a relatively slow defence and then judge him.

i reckon he’ll carve them up.

Its an awesome number especially for him but he is there to kick sausage rolls and outside lions game he hasnt been on. Hes on or off and that is an issue.

I know he is out of form, but Jeffy coming back into the side would make us an even better side if that makes sense in a weird kind of way? ANB can make way for him.

I just feel on a dry quick deck, Garlett has the potential to kick your 3-4 goals from anywhere!

Have you noticed that every team that gets beaten by Melbourne is "in crisis".

Makes me laugh....

So why did they “rest” their most consistent midfielder and arguably their best!? Weird [censored]!

This week the two teams will be playing for the Wilkes-Maister Memorial Trophy.

Wilkes-Maester's career was cruelled by not by injury but by how he'd only get to play Melbourne just twice a year.

We're still a bit of the pace.

There was a passage of play in the 3rd quarter where we were tentatively handballing it around in front of goal and no one wanted to kick the goal despite completely dominating possession.

Like the leaking of soft junk time goals it was the play of a team lacking ruthlessness and some self belief

That was the one where Weideman handballs to Jones, should've had a ping

I really hope Trac plays and tears the Aints a new one just to rub it in how much better than McCartin he is.... (again)

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
