Throw up all the excuses in the world but North are making a mockery of our inability to score last week.

Do you honestly think Hawthorn are playing as well this week as they did last week?  Like us, they haven’t come to play.

Hawthorn is not great. They are well coached, but they made a point of making a mockery of us last week. Clarkson toyed with us, and our players gave up.

Quite enjoying North playing well against the Hawks. North playing with intensity and aggression. Ben Brown is a ripper.

Frawley also not having a great day which is enjoyable to watch.

True, but you can’t draw a form line from today to last week.  Nth smashing Hawthorn does not make last week any worse, or two weeks ago against Nth any better.

We were fine until it got a bit wet last week, under Goodwin we haven’t played wet or windy conditions well at all as we do t adjust for the conditions

Wow wee. 13 marks inside 50 to 1 Norths way.

Someone should bump the “ Get Ben Brown” thread. He’s seriously good.

North will play finals this year. Maybe even top 4. They remind me of their 2007 season. Nobody rated them, every side paid them no respect and they ended up winning 15 games.

I hope our Rd 3 North win doesn’t end up being our highlight of the year.

We’re starting to sound like the football media on here.

A team plays well: ‘They’re amazing; will play finals.’

A team plays poorly: ‘They’re terrible; won’t play finals.’

If you were a Melbourne AFL Player, set to play Tuesday, watching all these upsets this weekend so far, what would you be thinking?

I've been meaning to say '39 it took me 20 years to get over Barassi leaving, but another thought to me is it just seems like we have a game plan that is too fast for the players?@#$!

Listening to BT saying the Higgins knock out was accidental is ridiculous. Burton made the choice to bump and it looks like Higgins is still unconscious.

I too would like to see the Roos finish off toweling up the Hawks but the WatchAFL app (the one for international viewers) has decided that the Lions vs Suns game is that gripping, they will make you watch it even if you want to watch North vs Hawthorn.

Sterling stuff.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
