Our window will onlybe open briefly imo the club must takesome big risks in  trading this year

Or it will be another 53 years

I am trying to work out exactly what will change next year its time for the club to be brave believe in their destiny and take adantage of the opportunity

That last flag was on my wife's 12th Birthday!  (How is it possible for such a young buck as I to be married to such an old woman??  Oh, wait!  How old am I again...?  OOPS!!!)

Come on, Dees!  It's time!  Another flag in my lifetime, P-L-E-A-S-E!!!!!

Agreed. I worry that a small club like ourselves  will have our talent poached if we dont accelerate now. Its fun thinking about getting Gaff and or lever etc etc but one day  clubs will be picking over our bones too. We have to take this opening. Given global warming  the MCG might be underwater in 10 years...who knows. I say we go hard for the present moment .

I was standing in the crowd behind the goals in the open stand at the end to which Neil Crompton kicked the winning goal. What a joy to watch the ball sailing towards me.

Still have the Football Record from the day with the scorers marked. Had a photocopy signed by all the players who were at the 50th anniversary lunch three years ago.

Who thought that it would become a collectable. We expected more after 1964.

Go dees.

Its absolute disgraceful & sad that such a strong club which won so many flags in that era is enduring a 53yr premiership drought which is now the longest in AFL history....

Cant blame current players, coaches etc but until its broken the record will continue to grow!

I was there as a fifteen year old sitting in the Grey Smith stand stomping both feet on the floor boards after each Dees goal .

A survey at my bayside secondary school disclosed that we had the most supporters with the Sainters naturally not too far behind then absolute daylight third .

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
