Demonland New Member Meet and Greet

Demonland

Recommended Posts

Ok Ok. Settle down.

It's time to get this thread back on topic. Something responsible posters like myself are very conscious of.

So to all new members please post on this thread now.

Name yourself and be shamed. Get the humiliation and insults over and done with and then you can post freely in the knowledge that it can't get any worse.

Anyway, if my theory about this site being composed of mostly lunatics and perverts is correct, abuse wont bother you.

PS. If you're a BDSM pervert I'll probably know you.

Believe it or not Uncle Bitter, I have met a Demonlander offline who, believe it or not, was not a desperate shut in living in a unabomber style shack.

He had a wife, family and the whole nine yards. It just didn't compute.

I saw Saty at the footy once as well. However, as we had just lost to Tird and his gang of merry guinea pigs, an introduction would have served neither of us well (considering our respective moods).

When I return to Oz, my invitation to Biffen (and you as well in a 'minder' capacity) to go drinking at the Bristol in Williamstown still stands. Though a new venue might be required due to yuppy apartments replacing the Beirut beer garden.

Hope to be able to contribute on Demonland from time to time but the bar is set very high.

There are some very knowledgeable (and humourous) posters on here!

Welcome Deeby. You have established your cred by hating the Hawks and brainwashing your kids.  My wife has never forgiven me for reneging on the deal that our second son support her team, the Magpies.  I decided that marrying a Collingwood supporter was a big enough sacrifice.  Given that despite her intelligence and beauty, when it comes to football, she is as feral as her footy brethren.  And, we never attend Melbourne-Collingwood matches together.

Hey all, new here.

Demons fan for 5 years, marrying a lifelong Demons fan, whose father is a Demons fan too.

Anyone know of any places in Brisbane that have the game on TV Saturday? (Monkey Tree Brewery does I know that already, wondering if anywhere closer than Logan way).

Welcome aboard!

There is a Queensland Demons Supporter Group on mfc website.

Queensland:  QLD Demons - Debbie Willder - 0410 424 402 - [email protected] - Facebook

They may have a regular spot to watch games - worth a try as its always better to watch games with fellow Dee supporters!

You must have been on drugs Col.

Re the pub. Biffen is currently persona non grata  at most inner urban public houses so most of his boozing is conducted in more remote locales.

The 186 thread.

The day the 'spin' died.

I made one of my smarter decisions that day when I chose not to go to the Bluebell Hotel for a pot and to watch the footy.

That seemed to be one of the shorter match day threads. But really, what could anyone say that wasn't the bleeding obvious?

Very intuitive, Col.

Half the players developed a sudden allergy to leather.  It was more a medical marvel than a game of football.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
