Pies players dropping like flies.   And still time left for Treloar and Pendles to do their hammys.

Make it happen.

Perfect result. Pies win, ensuring all the nuffies will turn up next week and Freo begin their slide down the ladder…but they injure half their side doing it.

That was only a matter of time at least it's not a calf, worst decision they have made getting him in on 3 year deal

A bona fide star.

A limited player who is playing the easiest position on the ground to a high level.

A bona fide star is going a tad overboard.

Let's see for how many seasons he can play at this level for.

Our list management has been pretty good but did we do enough to convince Howe to stay?

A bona fide star.

I got the impression we did the opposite of convincing him to say.

He's become a good player at the Pies, but he was a good player at the MFC, too. Let's not forget the frustrating inconsistency he showed when here though.  Like stmj says above, I'm not prepared to bet on his output being sustained yet.

Dunn and Howe starred on the same day.

We all know that has never happened in Hunan history.

We will beat Collingwood  like a disobedient little shoe shine boy using the wrong colour nugget.

That's why Westerners invented guns isn't it, to deal with recalcitrant shoe shiners...These days we bomb them. The trouble is, my friend Heimie would say, is that if you keep bombing them who's gonna shine your shoes?

i think goldsack might be out too, he could barely use his arm in the last quarter

There will still be 22 vs 22 [at least at the start[ - and we need to beat whomever they put on the track!

Richmond are a lot better then many think. We have derided their supporters for so long, and laughed at so many narrow losses, that we are not seeing them for what they are - a very good TEAM.

 North are rubbish

Collingwood are very beatable. They are poor in close at the contest where we are strong. Bring on QB.

Gold coast are another MFC. They can beat anyone and lose to anyone. Hard to read where they sit.

Essendon are another MFC without our talent. Once again, they can win or lose to any oppononent.

GWS intrigue me. Loaded with talent and very skilled, but get challenged by lower sides. How good have they been tnis yeaer on the MCG?

Freo are poor but well coached.

And the Dees? I am still waitint for the  its and pieces we have shown to click for one full game.

QB will not be easy. We will go in as Red Hot Favourites before the bounce.

We all know how well we handle that burden.

Over to you Goody.

More a matter of over to the on field leaders - they are out there, not Goodwin,  and they need to show their younger players that they mean business from the word go, and don't flag until the final siren.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
