They've covered up so many things, it's such a habit that they've accidentally covered up coverage of round 1

You could be right my friend ..... it is weird .... same thing happened a few weeks back with a JLT match and then miraculously it worked for the next JLT match

Will keep trying.... luckily the MFC match on Saturday is on the local cable

I can't even get the AFL homepage going.

How much is Gil getting paid again?

yep... the site has been down since the start of the game......... amazing in the internet age ... perhaps a few less dollars of salary and some server back ups might be in order

The least they could do would be to allow the radio stations to broadcast directly... amateur !!!

There's a free month trial with Foxtel Play, you sign up then immediately cancel your subscription so you don't get charged in a month's time and then you still have it til the contract ends.

Hopefully it's still available next month and we'll sign up again using my girlfriend's details. We have a Telstra TV box and it's streamed in HD, pretty happy thus far

The app just keeps stopping, then buffering on and on. Pathetic.

They finally managed to put in chromecast detection in the AFL Live App.

We can no longer use the third party chromecast/home app to fling our AFL Live App video stream to a TV.

The single legitimate method of watching all Melbourne games on a screen larger than my hand is now Foxtel. I will not purchase it, as it's far too expensive for 2 hours of TV for 8 months a year.

I will now investigate 'other' methods of watching videos.

Yo ho ho me hearties.

[censored] you AFL. You made me do this.

Are you saying this happened in the latest update which appeared just a couple of days ago?  ( If so, I'll have to ensure I keep using the older version.)

the replays also seem to have disappeared from Youtube

As a club that rarely features on free to air, the lack of an easy inexpensive way to access proper coverage is worrying for development of both our supporter and sponsor base

Some recommendations for people.

1. Sign up to GetFlix

2. Using your computer, Chromecast, Apple TV, or PS4/Xbox One, change the DNS setting to the one closest to your city (http://www.getflix.com.au/setup/dns-servers)

If you need help changing DNS let me know.

3. Visit watchafl.com.au and sign up.

Damn, just loaded up the game and yup, they've blocked it for Chromecast.

The app is now totally useless.  Cancelling subscription.

Can someone tell me, do they still do "listen live" ie radio links?

Searched and searched today on the live app and couldn't locate it

Surprisingly seems to happen when there is a tight passage of play, eg. when there's a shot on goal. AFL at their tightest.

Last couple of years I've always sought after the replays on youtube during the week- where TF are they?

Thanks Praha, although this involves purchasing an international AFL subscription, and I am now disinterested in giving them money.

Instead of working on ways to make the app work properly as it should. Bugs aplenty on the ipad.  The AFL seems to be only working on ways to making it less acccessable first.

Stealing cable seems like the sensible option.

the live radio is only available on the AFL website .... no longer on the app

The radio stations should be complaining as they pay for the broadcast rights and internet streaming is now a very common way to listen.

For substantial periods it was like watching the match through a metre of water.    I don't know if it's the AFL or Telstra's fault, but the AFL is doing itself no favours by selling such a shoddy product.
