Yeah I know, delisted by the Blues - read before you dismiss straight away

what do we think about picking him up as a rookie or late pick?  we are pretty light on for ready to play tall forwards and tall key backs.  if Hogan and Watts went down for example, it would be good to have a big body coming in for a couple of weeks.  He could also provide some cover at the back as we are a bit light on there to

I thought he actually played alright last year and was surprised he was canned.

6 foot 4, age 27. hard to assess his stats as he has played many positions.

anyway - fire away.  Im logging off now   :)

Been canned from 3 clubs now, apparently work rate is a big issue. Has some talent, but rarely shows it consistently. If as you suggest Hogan and Watts go down, he'd play 1 or 2 good games then go missing for the next 5 or 6. Big no from me, if he was 21 you think that Macca could iron him out but he's had his chances.

I think he could be good insurance up forward and down back. Not sure it would be a good look delisting Dawes but then picking up Everitt.

Everitt can mark....

I'd rather Peter Everitt - even at his current age

I'd even rather Kenny Everitt - even in his current state of health

Can't see it happening i have to say. Although i do suspect the club will rookie a mature age defender given the state of our stocks back there.

He lacks the hunger required to make it at the top level. He is talented but just looks laconic when he is out on the paddock.

Rookie list should be for taking a punt. Sadly you know what you are getting with Everitt and it isn't enough.

Is this what we have come to?

It's funny that we've come so far, yet names like Everitt are still thrown up continuously. Nothing against the OP though, the trade period brings it out in everyone.

While I have no wish for us to pick him up, I would like to point out that The Blues have once again dropped one of their top goal-kickers. Funny.

Given the Blues' forward delisting history he could be good for 60 goals somewhere next year.

Jesus H. Christ. Do we need a thread for every dud where the OP tries in vain to make them sound enticing while everyone else shudders at the thought?

Bloke's a match-winner.

Get him!

I don't mind Everitt. Inconsistent as hell but hard leading and difficult to match up on at half forward.

But I don't see him in our best 22 and I don't think he's the depth player we need. I'd have him in the same boat as Green, Barlow and probably others.

If we had extra list spots I'd take him but we don't. We need to bring in 3+ more talented kids and try to fill holes in spots we don't have a lot of depth (ruck, speed, tall back).

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
