In case this does go through, I take back everything I've said about Jordan. Or Jordie, as I will refer to him henceforth.

He's definitely not an arrogant [censored] and his bald spot isn't that noticeable.

he has a bald spot?

Maybe we can get a treatment from advanced hair studio as a sweetener in his contract to get him over the line.

Hahahaha!

#AFLTrades sources are reporting that Jordan Lewis may be involved in a trade that will see Christian Petracca join @HawthornFC

Twitter is great :)

Thought this real for a second and nearly spat out my drink.

I proceeded to look up the account on Twitter and found this gem.

Yes, Twitter is great.

Hawthorn chased Christian hard before he re-signed and he knocked them back

Good lord.

Even on a hypothetical level, I can think of what they could offer us that we'd accept...

There's another rumour floating around that Bob Murphy has been called in to AFL house to put forward his case for receiving Jobe Watsons Brownlow medal

Yep, there's a lot of years of pent-up "jeez I hate that bastard" I'm carrying. It's going to take some time to get over it I reckon.

*blink*

Oh there, it's gone. Welcome Mr Lewis, I've been a fan for years!

I love the comment by Wright that "enquiries were made about Lewis".

Mr Lewis or Mr Pickering should come out and nip it in the bud.

But not yet.......

Says it all really doesn't it.

i keep refreshing twitter hoping to see it get announced. Just getting one up on the Hawks is enough for me - getting a player like Lewis is the cherry.

I don't think this trade will happen today (if at all).

Until we hear from Lewis or his manager I guess we're still in the hunt. Anything we hear from Hawthorn is damage control. I'm happy that there is nothing coming out of the Demons camp.

i agree, i think the excitement of having our name bandied around as a destination club rather than the other way around has got to me. That and how close i am to Friday knock-offs.

CP not up for trade. BS on that one.

My word is that the odds have significantly shortened in the last few hours. In our favour. Jordan has one foot out the door. Hawks working hard to undo  a likely exit.

Fingers crossed.

If that is the case I just don't see how he can come back from that position.

And if he says he wants to leave it also won't be a good look if the Hawks say no so it would likely get done on good faith.

We've all been here before.

We had to learn how to get over our hatred of Gary Moorcroft during his memorable 4 game stint at the club, circa 2003.

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm
