Seems like there is a lot more to this than what it seems.

seems like Collingwood were the big winners of that trade

Clark= gone

H = MIA

Varcoe = solid best 22 player.

Pies seem to shaft us on every trade we do with them.

Maybe payback for the Glen McLean deal some years ago.

I can't believe we are still indulging this sociopath. As soon as he was cleared to play by our doctors we should have told him to report to the club for training in a suitable condition. Failing to do should have resulted in his contract being terminated immediately.

I work bloody hard to earn a small fraction of Lumumba's annual income. I deeply resent that a portion of my membership fees (however small) is paying for him to sit on his lazy arse, whilst his fellow players are busting their guts on the training track. It also makes me sick that we turfed a great club man like Grimes so that this bludger can stay on the list.

I realise from the number of "likes" you have a lot of support. But there's a lot of supposition in your post.

It is interesting that HL has apparently been cleared to play and also feels he can play, yet is not training, even non contact training.

They have obviously agreed he will not play for us again and it must be purely a monetary consideration.

Sounds accurate to me Mr. Leg but from the length of time this is taking it suggests to me there is a big gap between what HL wants and what the MFC is prepared to pay.

let us hope he doesn't employ any of the essendon lawyers or this could take 4 years to resolve

I still hold out hope for Ben Kennedy.

I get the impression now that The MFC decided a long time back that H was not going to play for us again.

Weeks ago i thought this was all Harry driven, now i have changed sides. The MFC have been calling the shots

otherwise he would be training to trigger that 4th year

IMO if we are a good side he is playing with Casey.

Pardon my ignorance, and if it has already been answered, but if HL does quit can we upgrade a rookie (in addition to the one I assume we can upgrade at season's start)?

100% agreement.

All good sides have 'at least OK' players in the sidelines pressuring and providing depth, so if BK can even only reach that level on a regular basis then he is contributing.

He may yet prove sceptics wrong and do more

His performances at the Pies were exactly the same as with us. I have a couple of pie supporter mates who tell me what we get is what we saw last year.

On top of that IMO he is too short.

When you are short you have to very good to compensate and he is average.

I liked it because the content gave me a good belly laugh, regardless of what Poita was supposing.

My memory is shot but do we concur that the former player known as the Prince played his best football in 2010 as a half back operating behind the Malthouse forward press in their premiership year? He had time and space to run and be noticed and deliver the ball to a forward. In recent years with us that time and space has diminished due to the evolution of modern footy and so has H's impact.

Earl  my comment was in reference to Kennedy.

The consensus seems to be that we have regrettably retained a self-indulgent, petulant, self-absorbed list clogged who is overwhelmed by his innate sense of self-importance.

Having purged myself of that alliterative load of drivel, the basic equation is:

1.  What does the Club need to cough up to get H to sign a Release & Indemnity and retire post-haste?

2. How soon thereafter can we upgrade one of our rookies?

Given he was "expected" to return but hasn't I wonder how many of the boys have noticed/care he isn't there.

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
