Hamish Hartlett

Same likelihood of them wearing the red and blue.

Nah, no way. Fyfe will never ever play for Melbourne in our current situation, Hartlett on the other hand could be persuaded.

Different player to Vince, and I am sure that ND6 can be involved in a deal but we would want more than Hartlett.

I am not getting excited until it becomes more than a rumour that they will move him on.

I would try to do: Hartlett and ND10 for ND6 and ND25.

But, yeah, we can't be choosers... Hartlett and ND30 for ND6.

We could do plenty worse than Hartlett, but I'm not sure he's worth pick 6 unless we think he is capable of being an every week top 3 midfielder. I certainly wouldn't pay that much for a half back flanker. If Port were to throw in a pick or a player, I'd say yes.

An every week top 3 mid will cost you two first round picks.

Pick 6 for Hartlett is about right and I would be doing backflips if we landed him though I seriously doubt we are in the running.

If we can get Hamish Hartlett for pick 6.. YOU GET IT DONE!! Simple as that. Case closed. End of story. For those of you thinking he isn't worth pick 6 especially with the draft not going deep this year then you are kidding yourselves. Having Hartlett not only adds more depth to our midfield AND experience, but it also ads in another very good player in the midfield to release blokes like Vince, Tyson, & Jones..

Lets start a Nathan Fyffe thread was reported Melbourne have enquired about his services. This is never going to happen I hope I am wrong but he is not coming to Melbourne.

Here, have these, and sprinkle them through that post

,, ..,.

Then run a spellcheck.

I know it's only a rating based on a Supercoach/ DreamTeam style points system, but the AFL site has Hamish Hartlett rated as the 36th best player in the league.

Melbourne's best is Nathan Jones at a distant No. 95. Bernie is 124.

Thats quite a difference but aren't there a lot of discrepencies in the AFL tables? Can't recall how they are formulated but remember reading of some howler's in there.

What!?! lol Kane Mitchell? The guy is a massive spud.

Wow really? I think he's decent steak knives. Maybe 3rd rounder instead?

Oh my, well that was fun to watch.

The goal at 2.08 where he is on the angle, inside the square and his teammates are pointing to the goals made me laugh. What was that, a 70m kick?

he can kick...bloody hell

What we need is something to scare the bezeesus out of backlines and have them on the back foot from the get go. This kind of lad ( who's not shy on backing himself in...and i LIKE that ) together with a ready made running mate.. might just work. We'd have the smaller types to crumb etc...suddenly we go from lethargic in the 50 to lethal.

Definitely be enquiring as to this bloke's availability !!

Only highlights I know...but he shows great awareness and anticipation. That can't be taught ( not really ) . You either have these smarts or you don't. ( we've already got a few that don't  )

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
