From Adam Cooney's article on Mad Monday:

Hibberds and Melkshams: The animals of the group, rock up feeling the effects of the night before, nude by 12, abusing everyone by 2pm and home by 6pm. Great value.

10-11am — Sit around enjoying each other’s company. Reasonably calm, eating chips and gravy and easing into a few pots (carefully avoiding your Hibberd/Melksham type operators as they’re already too far gone to interact with).

There isn't, but may just go back to being a knowledgeable (38 years) footy watcher, with a bit of inside info and chat to pass on, besides which have a rule with the players that I don't approach them 'off duty' unless they approach me, so the stools are out, it will be just the discarded napkins and the odd cigarette butt that Max may accidentally leave

AFL players love a social dart even during the season. Don't be surprised if he still has the odd one when out having a beer.

True.

Maybe the number of patches in his beard tomorrow will give an indication as to how wild today/tonight was/is.

James Brayshaw reckons Maxy has a pack of darts buried in the beard.

Geelong are always good with the outfits.

Mitch Clark is going to rock up  dressed as an AFL player this year which will be a hoot.

Can't wait to see what Terls brings to the table.

Trengove was planning on going as Usain Bolt But that idea was quickly shut down by H.

Pedo apparently will be coming dressed as Cardinal Pell.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
