The bald umpire is twerp but not a [censored] cake like Pannell.

I think we should be turning the focus quickly from how well we played to when Colloingwood should sack its coach.

Personally,I think they should pretend to back him then do a quick switch at the end of the season , then cast the net for someone more arrogant and worse with  the players .

Find another club to follow, that's if you do follow Melbourne.

Exactly, some people are never happy. Win a flag by 10 goals and they would say should have been 15. Takes all kinds.

I know their forwardline is incredibly ordinary, but our talls looked superb today and will hopefully gain some terrific experience on the big stage from that.

Frost needs to eradicate those brain fades, but his body work and judgement of the ball drop was fantastic. Omac continues to improve and his spoiling is a real asset. Even Tom was great today. I love Wagner's composure. Strangely, my favourite boy Jetts played his worst game since becoming the leading small defender in the competition under Roos. Hunt needs to learn to kick or handball on his left side if the situation demands it.

Anyway, I thought our defensive systems worked very well today and the McDonald's and Frost held up brilliantly against extremely tall opposition.

Gawn easily best afield. The less said from me about Bernie's 42 touches the better.

Frost might have saved us a couple 100k on a decent defender because he was super! Il cop the small mistakes but being down back just suits him.

No more forward experiment.. ever!

Frost did look great. Our 3 tall backs looked like they knew what they were doing (mostly). A lot was the lack of forward pressure but you can only play who you are against

Listening to SEN and Collingwood supporters talking about who is out. Pretty sure we also have 4 players who would be best 22 out.

Just weird that Frost was being tried up forward when it was obvious he was a backman, and we were crying out for one!

I'd even suggest that had he played back on Daniher in the Essendon game the result could have been different.

Sorry I can't join the party most teams would have belted the pies by 10 goals.  Oscar was passable but should still be at Casey - he gave away 2 goals.  Jetta, Stretch & VDB were barely adequate.  Frost & Tom McD were lucky the Pies kicking for goal was poor.  Hogan dropped 3 chest marks.  Trengove is just going.  Lucky for us Watts, Max & Bernie had huge games & the Pies were missing a few players.

That means we are just like most teams then!

Be happy with the win. It was one we should have won and we did.

You are doomed to a life of misery if you can't find some joy in beating the Pies on QB.

The midfield is clearly the area that still needs reinforcements if we're going to win a flag. Our ball use could still be drastically improved. People need to stop talking about Hurley and start talking about Prestia, Neale, Crouch etc. They're the guys we need.

Very, very happy. I was invited to a corporate box today. I arrived to find myself the only Dee supporter amongst 15 smug Magpie medicos - almost the worst type of supporter. Well it was my lucky day - I managed to guess the first goal kicker and was the only one to pick that Melbourne would be in front at half, 3/4 and full time. Only missed out on the 1/4 time lead.

Go Dees!!!!

That's a hard one Biffen. Neeld was horrible with the players but with the arrogance of Pottsy Webber. Alan Jones

I'm often one of the first to turn on him, but shout-out to Dawesy - Thought he was terrific.

One of the best games he's played for the club. He wasn't brilliant, but he certainly earned his spot. If he can hit the scoreboard, he'll be worth another year. Humble pie consumed.

Great to win on such an important day, but I was pretty disappointed with a lot of our play. Very messy at times and a lot of horrendous turnovers.

But a win is a win, and a win over Collingwood is better than most. If we can get some consistency and play like we did in that second quarter, we might push closer to the 8 than many think.

Go Dees.

A big dose of reality please! Yes we were super but this was only Collingwood, not one of the top sides! We were good enough to have an 8 goal win but the most gratifying thing is that we will actually improve massively on today's performance. Well done boys. Stay close and work for each other and with each other. Good job today.

I have called for a second ruckman before and today adds merit to the cause. With gwan having spells up forward it is hard for the oppsotion to cover him, hogan, watts and dawes slash pederson

Oh yes. Of course. Another great day from Dom Tyson too. If he can play at this level for the next 12 games, he'll be A grade by the end of the year.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
