First time, long time.

I'll keep this short as I can't stand reading long winded discussions. As a member since 2002, I can't help but believe the MFC is in fact going backwards compared to almost every other team (perhaps Carlton, Richmond and Essendon to the exception). While we have some potentially good players, and a couple of greats, every other teams list far exceeds ours. Look at doggies, Saints, Collingwood, port, Adelaide, kangas, wce, Brisbane, Geelong, hawthorn, Sydney, gws, Gold Coast - there list far exceeds ours. While I have absolutely no appreciation for roos(in my view he has been a cancer for this club) given the game plans, his erratic comments based around anything but teamwork and aggressive play- I simply can't see any future for this club in the next 10+ years. I wIll cop significant flack for this (yep let the abuse come, I can handle it) I can no longer support this club. I'm completely broken and have given this club till the completion of 2017 to make finals or I will leave this club forever, not supporting any team but enjoying the rivilary between the best teams in the comp. I suspect I am not alone...

So who would have been a better Coach to take over from Neeld & Schwab?

Will see you around once we start winning a few in the future, praising the mighty Dee's.

I understand frustration but that seems a little drastic. I support the club no matter how much they break my heart and downright [censored] me off..

The good times and the bad, I love this club.

Your a stronger man than I, I guess I envy those clubs who perhaps have not reached the ultimate success but are able to go to games knowing they have some chance.

We have improved. I am sure we will win eight to ten games this year. Hopefully 12 the following and possibly finals. As for Roos he has not been that great. His selection of Brayshaw and omission of Nunn or another tall last week was bizarre for such an experenced coach. I understand your frustration.

If for some reason we do go backwards and dont play finals within the next three, I think there will be some serious backlash with people just not renewing mships or going to games anymore.

One way or another something will give. If or path stays the same, we will become devoid of any new supporters with old ones dropping off or dying and probably go bankrupt and merge. Perhaps move interstate.

No we haven't. That is the point

An improved team would have smashed Essendrug in front of their filthy delusional supporters.

An improved side has no issue with "being tired" or not "switched  on"

This club has absolutely no right to spruik such arrogant claims.

We have not improved. I am not about to walk away but last weekend the alarm bells were ringing...

I was an *efc supporter at age 5  when i moved to my grandfathers farm in country victoria in 1983.  The local club was the demons and it was a brilliant community  club. Around the same  time  i also discovered that one if my dads cousins played for the dees in the late 60,s  and happily discared the *efc like the used diaper that it now is.

I  think the core group of  younger players is the strongest we've had for some time.

Ill never support  another club.  Sure its frustrating supporting the mfc at times but think you just need a break a go and watch some local football.

And its always great to see some of traditional rivals getting pumped eg saints today ☺

2002! Wow, that's a long time. I can remember gearing up for my third season, round one 1966 on my little boy radio. We were in the match of the day, and supposed to be bouncing back (re-build?) from '65 collapse. Alas the saints bolted in the second half and we win a paltry three games for the season. Had big hopes for 1967.

Garland was on the ground that night in 2013 that the bombers smashed us by 146pts. He should be as hungry as F&*k to smach them every time we play them. He was insipid. Leadership group my ar*e.

Pies and tiges are ordianary maybe support them ? Dont change when we whip them .

I see us tracking in the right direction and we have beaten teams in the same bracket and can do again if on song , id rather be where we are at than port or the dogs who are one trick ponies and wont win at the g deep into finals , we are trying to build a style that will . Gws are similar in their approach with a contested style being developed . Go dees .

I agree, there feels like there's something different about this current core group. There appears to be more buy in than what we've seen in the past, but we still have this cloud hanging over us. It's over the players, the coaches, and the fans.

Fact is the only people who can change this is the players, by doing away with the mentally weak and attitude that is existent in many of some of the older players. The change needs to be driven from the future of the club.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
