Can our coaches try and work something it where we don't kick to Hogan 3-1 each bloody time.

Maybe hit other targets.

Out coached, out classed by a VFL side that has played 6 quarters together.

Where are our leaders? Jones? Gawn? Viney?

lmao, Essendon fans call out 'ball' when a Melbourne player has it on his own

TMac should really refrain from doing interviews talking about how he was excited to get 2 wins ina row and focus on his kicking

This is why we will never be a good team. Attitude of the club is all wrong. Players have come today thinking this will be a walk in the park. Have supported them for 40 years and whenever we are favorites we get done. I am done with this club. Resigned to ineptness forever

Umpiring.....beyond abysmal. Must be on the take

Something strange going on. I only have stats to go on at the moment (will be able to at least listen in the 2nd half), but there's some numbers worrying me -

Dismal tackle count, something fishy in the free kick/50m penalties count, and what really interests me is, we've got double the interchanges.

Bit of flu around the club or something? Geez, I hope there's an excuse for this disappointing effort so far.

Don't want to be spending the whole season hoping for final quarter heroics.

Also, it'd be really helpful if people just don't bother posting until after the game if all you've got is "mutter mutter, grumble, awful, snark snark poopyface". Some of us are trying to keep an eye on events.

Yeah dont bring in Dunn because  they have a small forward line

the $$ will always come before the fairness of the comp, we won't be the only team that cops this from the umps against the bombers, anything to make them competitive

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
