The Dons are organising a massive pre-game programme for this match . It will "represent their past, their present and their future" and they want this moment to stay with their supporter for the rest of their lives.  I can only hope that every Melb supporter turns up to the "G" that day , our home ground & the spiritual home of "clean " football, and supports our team in voice and numbers. A win is an absolute necessity!!

Essendrug home game, I am not going. I refuse to show support of any kind for the drug cheats.

I'm worried about this game. Massive walk to the G, many past players attending. A big build up for then in their first home game,.

I hope they get smacked round 1 and we follow up with round 2 but I'm nervous about it

If you have a 16 game MFC membership the money for your entry at away games goes to MFC

We have an opportunity to annihilate one of our rivals at the G. Who wouldn't want to be there to witness that?

MCC/MFC member. I think (not sure) that the MCC distribute to the home team.

Steve, perhaps I have a simplistic view but I have a problem with drug cheats in sport. The club that organised a PED program that led to 34 players being banned have not yet been punished. I have few options, I do not buy their sponsors products and do not go to their games.

Confidence jnr.

you can put it in the bank we will win the first two.

They can march up and down till they are blue in the face will make no difference to the result.

If we turn up and play with the sort of intensity we are hoping to see week in, week out, we will pummel them. And it will be lovely.

I go every week home or away in Melb, as AFL Membership gets me into away games without giving a penny to the home team, it's going to be a cringe-inducing sycophantic love in that's going to be hard to stomach.

Can we organise for all Dees fans at the game to turn their backs when the MC instructs all the Essendrug drones to applaud their drug cheats as a form of protest?

My simplistic response is that there won't be any guilty players at this game so you can attend knowing that you'll be supporting clean players.

Just trying to help you find a way to get there, ManDee.

As mentioned already, this is a replacement home game, so anyone with an 11 game membership can get in.

Edit - as long as someone at the MCG remembers to press the magic 'button'. Took a while to get in for the first of our replacement games last season.

OD, there's something about your confidence that makes me feel more optimistic about the season ahead than I was a few weeks ago. I sure hope that you're right.

For the first time in a decade we have a reasonable list. Baring a bad run with injuries our best 25  now have the skill level needed to compete with most teams.

I believe we are a better side than Essendon and we should win.

I wonder if they will use this occasion as an opportunity to rehabilitate Hird? First thing that came on my mind.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
