How long will it take to recover?

  • A mild MCL injury or grade one sprain should take 3 to 6 weeks to make a full recover.
  • A more severe grade 2 or grade 3 injury may take 8 to 12 weeks.

Good game by Watts. When in defence he seems to take the short option a lot. Would benefit from kicking further down the field.

Didn't duck at all - but still waves the arms around when tackling

Looks like us old folks are going to have to put ourselves through the mental discipline of learning all these players' numbers

haven't had to bother myself with that for quite a few years......,,,

They start at 1. Then there's 2, then 3, ... it keeps going all the way to 46.

Some very, very promising signs.

Big Max looks amazing. Van Demon was killer. Viney ditto.

Quick ball movement. Where has this been for the last 10 years?

Except for that last kick he just looked far more competitive which is what we want.

We have more good footballers. I think all our previous NQRs just didn't have enough talent/size around them. Look at Oliver - at first glance: McKenzie Mark 2. Then he goes near the ball with intent and talent and size; good things happen.

The second half could be a good sign of our fitness, and a nice start for Goodwin.

Hard to tell as we had 130+ interchange and Port stuck to the season enforced 90 limit.

This. But hey, undefeated for 2016, I'll take that for as long as possible.

Can't ask for a lot more from a first hit out. Very scrappy when the heat was on early but a walk  in the park after halftime. More interchanges, slight rub of the green with the umps, but basically just harder at it with slick ball movement.

Two more performances like that and hit Round 1 with a flourish,

Agree.  I think we bank what he gives - reads it well, marks it well and delivers it well (one exception at the end) and leave the robust tackle / bump to those better equipped.  No one will ever shudder with fear when they see him run their way.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
