I thought it was only Richmond members who participate in the above microwaving practice. I assumed they all have mullets.

If that is the case Ethan then i'm sure many Toig supporters would not be able to resist this mullet highlight package (Guest starring Lovett & Jackovich )

Loved Jako when he played for us.

His career was way too short though.

I sometimes feel guilty about this but I've done the same to my three kids (and their spouses) and nine grandkids, a couple of who have already sucked their friends into joining up.

I think this was an ongoing issue for him. At times during this match you can even see him grabbing a little at his lower back and looked a tad proppy.

I won't forget him either. The opposition crowds hated him but he was a match turner/winner when he was on. He did sook it up on occasions though when things weren't going his way. Could have been anything had he continued. I remember  looking at the goal kicking averages of the great forwards and he was in the top 5 (maybe even higher than 5).

Done the same to nephews and nieces. lost some to the Hawks and Bombers sadly. Still got 10 out of 20 to barrack for the Dees. Cost me quite a bit back in the day for memberships and jumpers!

Not one to indulge in a professional preparation. Such a pure talent though much like Sean Charles.

Gee even when "fit" jack was not a small chap.  Not a body type you see anymore in the AFL.  What a talent though.

don't forget the translated old video formats (unless adjusted) tend to accentuate width more than height so giving a distorted look

however, correct jacko did have a "unique" body shape which was partly why he broke down. liked his angry pills though. one of a kind, jacko

Just so long as the short shorts don't make a comeback!!

Back to the thread topic, any further update on membership numbers?  I think it would be a nice gesture if the person who buys the record-breaking membership gets a free upgrade to the next membership category.

Be honest, Jack, you don't feel the least bit guilty.

I'm taking a mate along today into the Members, with the condition that he has to be wearing a 2016 membership scarf, when he meets me. Slowly but surely we will beat the old record prior to the match.

Then we should make it before the match starts. If people buy memberships outside the ground tonight, how long before the membership is recorded with the MFC?

It's only our 2nd home game so fair chance some people may sign up before the game tonight? Let's hope so

I can see flashing lights at half time tonight announcing a new membership record!

Maybe a record crowd for a home game announced at 3/4 time!

And a win on the final siren!

Actually, i really like that the club seems aware of this countdown thread and is giving us very frequent (weekend) updates to help us out.

    BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin

Melbourne’s most important player who dominated the first half of the season until his untimely injury in the Kings Birthday clash put an end to his season. At the time, he was on his way to many personal honours and the club in strong finals contention. When the season did end for Melbourne and Petracca was slowly recovering, he was engulfed in controversy about a possible move of clubs amid claims about his treatment by the club in the immediate aftermath of his injury. Strong marking youngster who plays forward and relief ruck, continued to make significant strides forward in his career path. LIVE AND LET DIE by Meggs

The Demons’ impressive late season charge to finals will most likely come unstuck this Saturday evening when the Bombers blow up the also-ran Blues in the Ikon Park double-header.   To mangle McCartney, what does it matter to ya? To have any chance to play next week Narrm has got a job to do and needs to do it well.  We’ve got to give the Pie sheilas hell, say live and let die! It’s Indigenous Round for this game and the chance to celebrate and engage with Aboriginal and Torres
